Fave video! Loved Emma behind camera 😁(they missed a pest😅) That flat sea I agree E! -my tears blurring the telltales, took me back- charmed calm sails rare amidst wild heeelers ahh my teenage Norla days Thanks for memories, birdsong and undulux’d shades of green Music lending lovingly to quiet moments as they speak of a deeper peace. Sail on Beauties❤❤❤️
Aw thanks Mim. So pleased you enjoyed it. Flat seas are the best. Just had a rolly sail around Cape Brett 🤢. But now tucked into a nice cove. Captain Sam sends his love as do I xxx
Ahoy me hearties! Tonight I have mostly been, with feet up on the sofa and a G&T in hand, binge watching and thoroughly enjoying your ongoing adventures. Thank you all for sharing your fabulous experiences.....the world is a beautiful place n'est ce pas ( just schoolboy French I'm afraid Emma ). Belated wishes for your Birthday Sam. Much Love. Mx
Thanks for the ride-along. Those trails are amazing. Quail are quite common here in California (state bird), and can be pretty fun to watch when there's a whole family of them running around. Any chance of spotting the elusive Kiwi bird?
Thanks guys. Yes the trails really are incredible. You also have some amazing trails in California. Sadly we didn’t get to see a kiwi but we did hear them at night from the boat in a couple of places. Tomorrow we head to Tonga. Sad to leave NZ but excited for the next adventure. Thanks again for watching our journey 🙏⛵️
Thank you so much for the info. Really appreciate you taking the time to let us know. So many amazing birds in NZ. Hope you continue to enjoy our channel 😊
I enjoy your channel especially the episode on Abel Tasman....that's the area I live and sail and know all the nooks and crannys. You ask for suggestions. I am interested in your words but often can't hear what you are saying when music is present. The music is good to hear during scenes with no dialog but often become over dominant when either of you are speaking. This is commonplace with inexperienced channels and usualy signifies content not suitable to watch. That's not the case with you guys......I actually want to hear what you are saying because the content is relevent and good quality. Also you guys are gutsy sailors, work well together and have a well put together handsome classic ship. I am moving toward a similar life style for myself. So far I have the dream ship...still work to do on it, desolve previous life style, and meet my sailing buddy. You guys offer the kind of inspiration I take notice of. I'm 74, just going over the top and gathering speed!
Cheers Mark. So appreciate your detailed and thoughtful feedback. Thank you for taking the time to let us know. We’re newbies and really are striving to improve our film production skills. We’ll most definitely take that on board 😊. Abel Tasman is still one of our favourite places. It’s a glorious part of the world. You’re fortunate to call it home. All the best making your dream come true. It really is a fun lifestyle and it’s awesome meeting lots of like minded people. We’re currently in Tonga with lots of other yachties recuperating after our Pacific passage. You’re still young enough to get out here and join us. Thanks so much for your support and enthusiasm 😊
Second that, the music continues to detract from the scenery, obscure the natural sounds of the water and nature, and overlap your dialogue. The rough nature of the editing are easy to ignore because you are learning as you go, but the music is a huge distraction and deterrent.
AWS😊me! Cool music too 👍

Hell yeah!!! We’re having a ball. 😊
Great views/trails. Some of it reminded me of Wilson's Prom
We haven’t been to Wilson’s Prom yet but are hoping to on our way home 😊 We certainly have lovely trails in Australia too.

Bellbird in the beginning. Later a Quail, which is not a native, with the tuft on its head.
