Rittenhouse getting off on what was effectively a technicality, given the focus of the trial case, absolutely opened the door to the possibility that murderers like this have the possibility of seeing some kind of freedom at some point in the future because a state or federal Fascist makes a point out of it. This kid is 18 and under the current system he's tried as an adult, and depending on the state would either be executed or spend life in prison. But he's 18. So if things go south politically he could be out and running around in 10-15 years - WHICH WOULD BE HIS EARLY 30s - because he serves Fascist purposes.
