I have to agree with you. After hearing him on Seth Myer, I downloaded the album and I’ve got most of it memorised. Incredible voice, lovely thought provoking smile pulling, tear jerking lyrics. A recommended listen any day of the year but especially for Pride Month. Such a beautiful soul laid bare in his own songs.
The only thing I can think to say is YAAAAASSSS! I love it. And being from Oklahoma, I definitely had so many of my friends in mind. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

I really love his voice, been a huge fan, but this song is very lyric heavy and it never goes anywhere in the bridge or after. Am I wrong? Maybe. It just is kinda bopping along and tells this kinda no nothing story about a gay cowboy (he has a truck) via a pop song? I feel like I was eating a sushi roll via a BBQ joint between the unrelenting pop beat and the storytelling countrified lyrics. Reminded me of Shania Twain but not as well done. Don't kill me if you don't agree. I really do love Ben.
Were all very used to ben slaying those notes, this was more like a pop ballad just a chill song. I didn't mind it. But I prefer the high notes as well and the building up since it gives me a challenge to match it😊
