lol thank you Kory!! It was such a beautiful place! The kiddos were watching me like hawks, every time I went out they weren’t far behind-they had a fun time as well!
It’s a beautiful place. There are plenty of big fish still there but the reason it’s difficult to catch them anymore is because there’s an invasion of freshwater shrimp and the fish just sit on the bottom slurping them all day long.
Such a gorgeous area-I absolutely loved it. I did get a couple of really nice rainbows off camera (after dinner bite was 🔥) and had some huge fish follow, but it was a little more challenging than i expected. That is crazy about the shrimp, now I’m wishing I had tried that instead of sucker meat!
I fish Island Park every year, I've caught hundreds of fish there through the years. Henry's has consistently bigger fish. Henry's is a shallow lake (10-12ft at it's deepest) that isn't formed by a damn and is not used for irrigation, so it consistently stays the same depth. It's a great fishery in the spring, it's brutaly difficult to catch fish in the summer once it gets hot.
@@jayscott1380 yessir I appreciate that-I figured it was worth a shot, but pretty quickly realized my attempt was futile! I would love to give it another shot in the spring or fall!

It was an awesome time for sure! I had my GoPro mini on my head but it wasn’t running when I fell. I was packing up to leave and realized I didn’t have it. I found it out in the water about 6 feet from shore in like 2 feet of water. I felt lucky to have found it!!
