Valleria being sick and not being able to perform that well was the most soul dropping thing this season so far to me. She was my 2nd and not first, but still. My favorite didn't qualify either (Another Universe)

@@sleppehdaze7739 I did see the Ay Ay Ay result and, is that more shocking than Bravo, Revolution and Fever making it? It could've been bad. Maybe it's now better in Moldova to have a bad, unchallenging song sang well, than a good song where there's room to be off.
hello!!!! my winners are in the middle and runaway, don’t really care much for the rest of them but I can’t say it’s a bad nf at all! I Quite enjoyed it and I’ll definitely be watching the final!!
I've gone in liking "In The Middle" because it's just such a strong favourite to win and it's better to be ok with that. "Runaway" did move up a lot for me. The song *could* be better but no complaints about the performer. If, somehow, it were selected, it could be this year's "Solo"!
From what I've read, Jungle was disqualified because he sang over a track that had backing vocals (against the rules). Also, I personally REALLY don't want Natalia to win, not a fan of her song at all and I think Moldova has several more promising entries from new artists (particularly Reghina and Valeria Pasha). P.S. Funny comments and the visual style is neat but I'd make the text scroll onscreen a lot faster. I can generally read pretty fast but I actually struggled quite a bit here. Outlines around the text would also be good. On the whole I'd probably save this aesthetic for Eurovision itself tbh.
Thanks for the info on "Jungle". I had finished that part of the video before the DQ reveal but that does make sense. I mean, there's a LOT of songs here that could benefit from backing vocals. XD PS. Taking onboard the speeding up the text. I think it works for the three-line comments (that was what I was aiming for in each one) but with those I ran over, it was a difficult read. The online is more tricky. I was trying to get away from outlined text as my video editor doesn't provide it and I have to manually make those as image files previously. It is VERY time-consuming but if it's a huge problem, I'll have to work around it.
I was SO looking forward to this selection. Honestly, weirdly enough, Moldova was the country I was the most excited for - Fever and Anti-Princess with genuine chances to win, two amazing songs that both would have surely made my top 3! But the juries being the tie breaker hurt Anti-Princess. In The Middle might grow on me, but I'm so disappointed to lose a favourite of mine to a stupid tie break. I hope to see Cătălina and Valeria again with the same quality.
Fever, for me, was a bit of a Moldova NF song and that's its ceiling type of song. The production wasn't really to ESC standard and the sound was dated. Cătălina was the best thing about that. Anti-Princess, on the other hand, was modern, well put together and playful. I think it would have gotten a good result. I think Moldova has to be happy with some of the talent that was unearthed during this selection. They'll probably end up never sending any of them, opting for Zdob Şi Zdub when they're pensioners or something, but still nice to have.
@@kaleproject3495 I agree that the production of Fever could be better (and the dance break was silly), but its composition just absolutely completely resonates with me. It really makes me feel good. With Cătălina only being 16, this was the first time that she could compete, and I really hope it wasn't the last time. She's super talented! As for Valeria, she's trying to fight the result, and I'm sure she won't be successful with that. Not sure if we're going to see her compete again. I just don't know what it is with Moldova and returnees these years. Do they not trust the new talents (which they do have at their supply) to do well? In the end, this time has shown me that I could definitely look into Moldova's selections more. I know this is a HOT take, but personally I find way more enjoyment in them than for example in Sweden's.
@@joshukaunarak Fever is a style of song that I think can be done well in national finals, but I don't know if there's a real demand for it at Eurovision itself. I'd like to see Cătălina compete again with a song that sounds a bit more modern. Hopefully, some good songwriters will have watched her performance and are thinking about penning something for her. In general, a lot of young talent on display in Moldova this year. The rumours with Moldova's winners tend to revolve around financing. Don't know the exact in's and out's but it is reasonable to presume that each of the returning winners has at least the means to partially fund their own Eurovision participation. The juries tend to be the ones to support such acts, which is easily done...but, in Moldova, they've had televoting issues in the past, too. So, if anything, I'm surprised Natalia didn't win that too. As for me, I'm not going to put Moldova's selection ahead of Sweden's just yet. I definitely like Sweden's a lot less than most people and find more to like in Moldova than some, but...I'm just not ready to do it!
We've got the disaster level NF Moldova has accustomed us and still, in the midst of all the chaos, they still have one or two qualifiers to pick from. In particular, I think Reghina could do very well with the televote if picked, most likely scenario though Natalia'll be the choice and I'm fine with that. It lacks a bit of progression imo but Natalia is easily the most professional performer of the bunch and will achieve possibly a Top 20 result likewise "Soarele Si Luna" last year. I'd also like to see what they could do with someone newer and fresher to the whole industry like Valeria Pasha. Perhaps it's a bit more of a risk but it's one worth taking, she has the potential to do great!
Agreed with your takes! I think "In The Middle" is probably more of a borderline qualifier than "Soarele Si Luna" (which was always guaranteed to make it) was. It'll be in the running though. I'd throw "Fever" in with the list of young, female talent that could do well if given the chance, but it's pretty unlikely.
Oh Moldova….every single time we do one of these it makes it glaringly obvious why yall jump to work with the Dream Team any chance you get With a revamp Natalia good be decent, hopefully she as a performer can bankroll that because the broadcaster sure as hell can’t

Nothing wrong said here. Valleria and Oliv Sky were the ones with the best songs on paper (Rule and Loud & Clear), yet the best packages on stage came from Valeria Pasha, Catalina, Reghina, and Natalia Barbu. As much as I always subscribe to the "pick the best song" theory, none of the results were like Déjà Vu last year. All the songs that didn't qualify that were good songs, did have vocal issues. The jury just prioritised that. Of course, going the Y-Limit route and presenting a song that didn't really *require* any singing, turned out to be a genius move.
