I think Ralph Fiennes deserves an Oscar for his portrayal! He just disappeared into his role as Basil Brown!
Ralph powinien mieć już przynajmniej kilka Oscarów.To niesamowite i niepojęte dlaczego jeden z najlepszych aktorów na świecie nie został jeszcze nagrodzony.Po prostu dają nagrody byle komu i nie wiadomo za co.Taki aktor jak Ralph pojawia się raz na sto lat!.To brylant pośród aktorów!!!

Simply loved this movie. I was so surprised because the title didn't make me interested but I was completely taken into the story and fell in love with the characters and story. Thank you for this at this difficult time.
One of the few - if any - movies to treat the funerary aspect of ancient souls with reverence and respect. Heartwarming when we so desperately need our heats warmed: beautifully done in every way.
It is rare that I have seen a show were I found myself caring for EVERY character. And I aint gonna lie, I fully expected Phil Harding to come clomping over the hill at any moment lol
25 years ago this would have been a box office sensation, now this kind of high cinematic art is going too far under the radar. Sad! But I’m still glad they’re still making these kinds of movies.

Pray till us what you objected to about the famous Sutton Hoo dig which totally turned Middle Age studies on its head. And all during the start of a cataclysmic war.
