7:38 amazing capture here in the Indiana dunes. A lot of beautiful nature and wildlife in this great video. Well done. Chelsea and Mike
Glad you guys enjoyed it. We'd love to be able to capture the stunning footage you guys get, your videos are amazing.
Merci de nous faire visiter ces lieux pas très connus
You're welcome, and thanks for following along on our adventure :-)
Wow I always love seeing where I grew up and places I saw nearly every day through the eyes of others.
Every year “field trips” to Bailey homestead during syrup season and if you were little me 😭😭😭 I can’t abide maple anything, not even the smell.😂 it was torture trips
Then we went to mount Baldy and the sadistic 1970s era gym teachers who pointed and said “climb” in summer heat… on a windy moving dune
I think that’s where my hatred of sand was born.
I relate Anakin Skywalker! I relate! 😂
But, the wooded trails along the calumet rivers and salt creek
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I lived on Salt Creek and loved every second of the woodland parts of “duneland”.
It’s so fun seeing what was my every day normal growing up through eyes that are seeing it for the first time.
Is Bailey homestead still a working farm? It was when I moved away in 1992. I’ve been back a couple of times to visit family but didn’t go “see the sites” as it were.
You'll be pleased to know, they don't let anyone climb the dune these days! Yes, Bailys farm is still a working farm. They had some chickens there, but they were locked up. And some goats. A worker was banging around building something, which is why we didn't film much there. Thanks for watching and commenting, it's so interesting to hear your experiences from another era. I must admit, I don't think I've ever tried maple syrup, but I'm not a fan of sweet syrupy things, so probably wouldn't like it either.
Good work guys, we also marvelled at Lake Michigan’s sandy beaches and sea with big waves. Did you get to Mackinac Island?
We'd not heard of that island. We're not very good tourists!
