I can't thank you enough for this. I've wanted to learn this solo for years but it's always been far beyond my scope. I'd take one look at whatever tabs I could find and think, "Yeah, no. Way too difficult." Even with your video, it's still way too difficult, but it gives me hope that I can eventually learn it. Your breakdown of each part is incredibly helpful. You're a wonderful teacher! I'm going to repeatedly watch this video until I can somewhat fumble my way through it. Oh, and I'll be sure to donate via Patreon. You're amazing!

I never realized how Jimmy Page-ish the main guitar part is.
The bit I'm struggling with is fretting one string normally (B 6th fret) while bending the G string on 5th. Don't think I've ever done this before.
Any tips?
yea it's tricky, you could always use your 3rd finger on the B and 2nd on the G as they'll likely be stronger than pinky and third. I also tend to park my thumb at the back of the neck to make it a bit easier but it's just one of those things you need to build up some strength for. Good luck!

I spent a looooong time flitting back between that and i think he does do that live but i didn't hear it on the album version with the guitar track solo'd. Either way cool tho :-)

Awesome video! I just have a question. How do you get those muted whacks so crisp and hit them so quickly between notes?
Cheers mate! You just need to make sure your fretting hand can mute the strings as quickly as you need. Also sometimes I’ll palm mute with my right hand as well as resting my left on the strings which helps keep it clean when using a fair bit of distortion. Just get it down slow first and build it up 😊🤘

The only way to survive your lessons is playing the video on 2x speed. I almost died from repetition.
I'm always happy with constructive feedback, but the lessons are intended to give as wide a range of players as possible a fair chance at learning all the nuances. One size rarely fits all. Creating video lessons is a learning curve for me too, my newer lessons are much improved from some of my older ones, so they are more concise, but the lessons are free at the end of the day mate, you can always choose to not watch them, or perhaps just respond politely to get your point across.
