I’m a male and I received a Easy Bake Oven as a child and loved it, my brothers made fun of me but would eat the cookies as fast as I could make them. 30 years later and I’m opening my 3rd bakery and I attribute it all to my Easy Bake Oven.

I must conclude that my previous comment was not a highly informative one, as it lacks any information on how to solve some apparent issues. As such, you may find some of the most annoying occurrences that happen in the workplace, and hopefully avoid performing them yourself where possible. 1) In management one of the main goals is to avoid wasting money. This tends to enforce a work-style where 'possible problems, only become a problem, when they actually form a problem'. Understand that a lot of engineers & experts have another work-style where 'every possible problem, is a problem, until addressed or proven otherwise'. If you don't understand the problem, then please don't just ignore it. If there is a reason why not to solve the problem, don't just say 'no' but explain us why. If the higher up's don't give approval for some reason just tell. Being treated as an adult at the workplace is often a lot more motivating than having flashbacks to kindergarten. 2) If management constantly rushes and interferes with our workflow we tend to get annoyed. It's not that we (engineers & experts) don't want to work faster, it's that we know we will be the ones redoing the crap work in the near future. We like to progress forwards, not backwards. If you want amateur-hour then hire an amateur, they are specialized in it. Understand that most of today's engineers & expert's have been highly trained to do things in a professional way rather than 'the quick way'. 3) Often having the time and ability to 'think before we act', would make our work progress a lot faster than being forced to plow along like a madman and see what eventually becomes the end result. Personally I find it rather difficult to 'think' when my manager asks me 'are we done yet' in the same fashion a six year old asks 'are we there yet' while on a road-trip. If you want to see things progress faster, then please leave me alone and let me concentrate on my job. I will inform you once I'm done. 4) Then there is the irony of management always talking about 'team-spirit' on normal days, whilst on bad days they are the first to find excuses to cover their own 'bottom'. It's unpleasant to constantly have to remember putting every last detail on email just to prevent my own 'buttocks' from being fired when eventually 'feces' hits the fan. If you want a team to work together efficiently , stop holding some kind of witch hunt on a yearly basis. If mistakes don't happen on a regular basis, accept that we're all humans doing our best but that mistakes are impossible to avoid. All humans are different so maybe you already avoided these just like my current manager does where possible. Sadly I have noticed them in a lot of former workplaces to appear on regular basis.

I had an easy bake oven when I was a child. You baked a tiny cake the size of a large cookie over a light bulb. The worst I ever burned myself was not from touching the oven, but pulling the cake out before it was fully set and spilling the boiling hot batter in my finger it was sticky so it clung and I got a 2nd degree burn. It honestly never occurred to any of us to go to the hospital or to sue Hasbro. My mom put my finger in a bowl of ice water and told me to be more careful next time.

So, nobody thought of it as potentially dangerous. The Magic Eraser cleaning pads that you might use to clean finger smudges and the crayon artwork of your little darlings from your painted walls and doors is foamed melamine. Wear gloves while, or wash your hands after, using them. Kidney stones aren't fun. Allegedly. Also, cheap plastic picnic plates are often made of melamine. The stuff is everywhere, but it doesn't belong in baby food.

We are still feeling the effects of the Chinese milk scandal in Australia. Because the Chinese people now have no confidence in the local baby formula they are now getting people to buy up the Australian stuff to send over. Australian supermarkets are now struggling to keep up supply of formula to the local market as personal shoppers are send trolley loads of it over to China
Thankfully I have no trouble finding formula, but it’s really annoying that I can’t buy more than 2 tins. As for banning shipping, well, kinda hard to ban individuals from mailing goods they own personally.
Did you know the Melamine thing killed quite a few dogs too? About a year before the world discovered their milk products probably shouldn't be touched, the same Chinese suppliers supplied products for dog food companies too. I don't remember where it was, I THINK Europe maybe? But perfectly healthy dogs suddenly started dying because of medical issues and the veterinarians couldn't explain it. The dog food company (companies?) traced it back to their supplier in China and...of course the Chinese denied everything.

I worked in a small tire shop at the time and our major brand was firestone. We swapped brands FAST. We actually made really good profits for over a year based almost exclusively on swapping firestone tires out for different brands. Keeping tires stocked was a pain and we accumulated an absolute ton of used tires in the lot next door. Nobody wanted them. On the bright side most of them got sold super cheap to the city, who ground it all up a made the neat springy flooring for play grounds in the county.

I had the exact same 'flawed' easy bake as a kid, the one where you could get your finger caught in the door. You know what I did? didn't put my finger through the godamn door, that's for sure.

Bit disappointed you didn’t talk about blue bell ice cream. BRUXXUS idk about that part but I can believe it. theres a conspiracy that they knew about it since 2008 when they started pulling their ice cream from hospitals (since that’s who listeria is actually dangerous to). They got caught in 2015 and forced to recall when the fda got involved. In the report you can see how absolutely nasty it was. Friend of mine got a job at the Brenham plant out of school as production supervisor and told me every time she suggested possibly shutting down production to clean everything, the higher ups said no. It’s a horrible place to work from what I’ve heard and she managed to leave before everythjng went to shit. Her basic view is all the horror stories from employees are true and she’s not surprised it happened. However they’re still selling ice cream bc everyone in Texas is brainwashed into believing blue bell is the best ice cream (I was born and raised in Texas so I’m allowed to say this).

BRUXXUS honestly their vanilla and vanilla based ice creams are solid. It’s also a good milkshake ice cream. Everything else is ok. It’s also really cheap and they’re the only option if you want individually packaged containers for a kids birthday party here. It’s just insane how much people are willing to forgive them for killing people.

The car recalls remind me of when Start Trek actor, Anton Yelchin, died for a problem with the gear in his Jeep. If I remember correctly, he got pinned to a fence at his hom. A few days later a recall notice was send to him and, apparently, the manufacturer knew about this issue but didn't recall the SUV straight away. Poor guy was so young.
Look up the 2008 Mercury Mariner electric power steering issue. There's a sensor in the steering column and if the sensor acts up the steering wheel will literally tighten up and then you have to muscle the wheel to get it to turn. Ford finally issued a recall over it after a lady crashed with kids in the car with her when the steering locked up all of a sudden.

I was in college at the time of the Tylenol incident. We did a comedy play from the 50's or 60's taking place in an apartment. The running joke was the main character would answer his phone in crazy ways. Most of the original joke for that were too old to register with the audience, so we came up with more relevant lines. One was "Tylenol crisis center." That one line got the biggest laugh of the night.

I had an easy bake oven when I was a child. You baked a tiny cake the size of a large cookie over a light bulb. The worst I ever burned myself was not from touching the oven, but pulling the cake out before it was fully set and spilling the boiling hot batter in my finger it was sticky so it clung and I got a 2nd degree burn. It honestly never occurred to any of us to go to the hospital or to sue Hasbro. My mom put my finger in a bowl of ice water and told me to be more careful next time.

We are still feeling the effects of the Chinese milk scandal in Australia. Because the Chinese people now have no confidence in the local baby formula they are now getting people to buy up the Australian stuff to send over.
Australian supermarkets are now struggling to keep up supply of formula to the local market as personal shoppers are send trolley loads of it over to China

I worked in a small tire shop at the time and our major brand was firestone. We swapped brands FAST. We actually made really good profits for over a year based almost exclusively on swapping firestone tires out for different brands. Keeping tires stocked was a pain and we accumulated an absolute ton of used tires in the lot next door. Nobody wanted them.
On the bright side most of them got sold super cheap to the city, who ground it all up a made the neat springy flooring for play grounds in the county.

BRUXXUS idk about that part but I can believe it. theres a conspiracy that they knew about it since 2008 when they started pulling their ice cream from hospitals (since that’s who listeria is actually dangerous to). They got caught in 2015 and forced to recall when the fda got involved. In the report you can see how absolutely nasty it was. Friend of mine got a job at the Brenham plant out of school as production supervisor and told me every time she suggested possibly shutting down production to clean everything, the higher ups said no. It’s a horrible place to work from what I’ve heard and she managed to leave before everythjng went to shit. Her basic view is all the horror stories from employees are true and she’s not surprised it happened. However they’re still selling ice cream bc everyone in Texas is brainwashed into believing blue bell is the best ice cream (I was born and raised in Texas so I’m allowed to say this).

BRUXXUS honestly their vanilla and vanilla based ice creams are solid. It’s also a good milkshake ice cream. Everything else is ok. It’s also really cheap and they’re the only option if you want individually packaged containers for a kids birthday party here. It’s just insane how much people are willing to forgive them for killing people.

The car recalls remind me of when Start Trek actor, Anton Yelchin, died for a problem with the gear in his Jeep. If I remember correctly, he got pinned to a fence at his hom. A few days later a recall notice was send to him and, apparently, the manufacturer knew about this issue but didn't recall the SUV straight away. Poor guy was so young.
Look up the 2008 Mercury Mariner electric power steering issue. There's a sensor in the steering column and if the sensor acts up the steering wheel will literally tighten up and then you have to muscle the wheel to get it to turn. Ford finally issued a recall over it after a lady crashed with kids in the car with her when the steering locked up all of a sudden.

Some parts were switched out for GM parts. IE cluster panels, radios, and some other things I don't remember off the top of my head.
I drove a Chevrolet sedan (don't remember the model right now) and it was basically a rebranded Toyota (Corolla?) I found out when someone hit my car and they ordered all Toyota replacement parts.
