Played shows with PB Warfare in the mid/late ‘90s. Solid dudes. The Bloodbath stuff at the end of this is GOLD though. From “The Price of Pain” to “Cross the Line”. There was a remixed version of these songs with great guitar leads that Mark Dargy’s Community Chest Records was supposed to put out back in ‘91-‘92(??). My buddies and I had a dubbed tape of the shit we used to play endlessly. Bloodbath, Anal Fist, Wishful Thinking, G-Man, all that late ‘80s/early ‘90s WMHC shit was just classic.
Hatebreed, Coalesce, Candiria, Converge, Shadows Fall, Dogfight (CT hard rock band), Simple (Springfield hardcore band), Catchthirteen, and One King Down, plus these gents, Pushbutton Warfare...those were the muthafuggin dayyyys where you first heard a band, got a musichub, bought their debut LP cassette or CD at the show, and your ears instantly fell in love.... Not ashamed to admit I still jam out w these bands, plus NYs Hardest Volume 2, and Bush League Records, Definitely Not The Majors. I’d trade all this tech and global economic and political drama to get sent back to 1995...🤘🏼
NY CT & MA hardcore is it. The New England sound in the 90s was unparalleled!! From dissolve, snapcase, Section8 upstate to Overcast, pushbutton, candiria , bane in Mass. to 100demons, blood has been shed, divided by hate, hatebreed, cornerstone, Tyrant Trooper in CT , to the OG’s of NYC - bulldoze, 25 ta life, agnostic front, merauder etc etc etc. Can’t be beat .
John Lacoe I never knew where they were from...I saw them at Games N Lanes and Pearl Street, are they actually from Western Mass? I live in Enfield, CT, but grew up on all Mass hardcore bands, from these dudes, to Simple, Shadows Fall, Converge etc etc. Back in the day, the NY and MA hardcore bands were the best. Candiria is still one of my faves, as much as I hate the douchebaggery of NYC, they were amazing live. CT only has Hatebreed to be proud of lol, thus my ventures into Mass for more action. Shows and venues aren’t the same today...I would still go pick some daisies and mosh w the biggest, baddest, and best of em, but this genre just doesn’t exist anymore 😔
@@seanmahon7444 There are better H.C. acts from CT out there IMO that you're forgetting. Shit, there used to be a FUCK TON of amazing hardcore that came outta Connecticut. Skycamefalling comes to mind, and one of my favorites when I was younger was Smackdown from Uncasville. Some cool ass dudes as well. I remember booking them for a couple DIY shows when I was doing that. I did a birthday show when I turned 17 with them, NJ Bloodline, Alterkation, Blood Has Been Shed, Fragment, Redline, and like 5 good local groups- Standtall, Down Foundation, etc. It was at a big ass indoor skate park which is long gone now unfortunately. There were a shitload of venues as well. I remember playing my first show when I was 15 in Plattsburgh NY. I'm 38 now lol. Those were the days. So many dope ass shows happened! I agree Candiria was mindblowing. I remember blazing up with them outside of the club hot boxing their van lol. Converge- "On The Saddest Day" was one of my favorite tracks! Incredible shit. Idk if you've ever heard of them but Cipher from Long Beach NY was fucking crazy good as well. Lotta good people in the scene for sure. Just reminiscing lol
Saw them at a hardcore show here in New England back in the late 90s, bought this album, became obsessed with it, then lost it a couple years later. Haven’t listened to it since, and I am so genuinely happy to hear these tracks again....pure eargasms. I appreciate the cat who posted this soooo much, no online mp3 vendor has this album, Newbury Comics can’t find a copy, so this is all that is left. So much props to the man who shared this 🤘🏼
Frank Smith Cheers, brother, you and me both! I wish Newbury Comics was still Newbury Comics. Oh what I would for Stewie to build me a time machine to go back to these late 90s hardcore shows 🤘🏼
Actually found my copy buried in CD my collection. Mint condition too. Case. CD Insert. If you don't believe me here's the "thanks to" from inside the cover. "THANKS: Everyone in western Mass. scene who has supported us, talked shit about us or thrown us out of their club, we know you all love us, soundman Jeff Gilmer,The Rock Shop, Sully and Doom Nation, Jim Weeks, Rusty, Karl Ourand, Chunk records, Uprise records, Daren-Emily & Karl Godfrey, Bruce Lepage,......"
