How does the neoliberal Trump get elected because of neoliberal's failings? Only difference is he is also a nationalist. I still think the majority of Americans think neoliberalism works well but I'm in a red part of Ohio and everyone thinks neoliberalism works well.
Depressed liberal turnout and Obama’s failure to do anything for “toss up” independent voters. And he still only won by the slimmest of margins.
Neoliberalism also means free movement of people. That means jobs leaving the country for super low wages. And immigrants some with temporary visas, staying longer.

Trump lost the popular vote. He won due to the undemocratic system that exists in the US. (As well as the incredible ability of the Democratic Party to lose elections.)

Casey Cushing PC is dominant on the internet. You can take one moment, record it and have millions of people believe this is a big issue. Post enough of this and you get the Raise of people who fell for the illusion that PC culture is a problem when it was a small percentage of this actually happening.
