Really like how you weave plants, snowdrops in this instance, into your mythical stories. This integrates plantlore, herbal remedy and temperance of the ingredients in the cauldron into your stories. Plus this story of the Cailleach, Queen of winter, reflects upon the seasons and associated traditional Imbolc celebrations. Your storytelling is an ancient artform that very much needs resurrection within the modern day world. Thank You for your excellent dramatic efforts with this restoration.
I'm over the moon to have found your channel to explore my Irish/Celtic roots with from here in New Zealand. Beautifully and mesmerisingly presented 🥰 Can't wait to explore the rest of your content, thank you for sharing your knowledge, wonderful storytelling and gorgeous aesthetic, its everything I've been looking for 🙌👏
@@TheStoryCrow exciting!! I can't wait, and I have much to catch up on and much to learn while you work on new content. I am one of the few Gantley's left in NZ, our ancestors migrated from County Mayo and the Isle of Man to NZ a couple centuries ago. I hope to get to Ireland one day and step foot where my kin hail from. Until then I'm loving immersing myself in the celtic culture, nothing has felt more true to me in all my years of soul-searching than the ways of the Irish Pagans 🇮🇪🍀🇳🇿
Sitting in my house in the snowy Black Forrest in Germany listening to your wonderful story. Happy to have discovered your channel. Thanks a lot and wish you many more subscribers.
Delightful. Beyond gratitude. Thank you for your storytelling. Sitting here in old town Niagara-On-The-Lake, On Canada admiring the white blanket of freshly fallen snow and appreciating having discovered you ❤
Part of the story reminds me a lot of the Story of Holla (Frau Holle) which is very famous in Germany. And you can tell that Jadis from Narnia was heavily inspired by The Cailleach.
Hmm. Not as far as I’m aware, but I’m always interested in etymological synchronicities. We don’t know much about the Alu charm, apart from it’s probably, well, a charm, and means health (or beer) maybe there is a link. I’ll have a look in, thanks for the suggestion 👍
That Cailleach, she is SOME kinda twisted witch. I always associate Imbolc naturally, Universally with an appeasement of the former monsters (and, a celebration arm in arm with The Redeemed) and perhaps an homage to a witch over there, but not Cailleach. Who knows WHAT it will take to keep the Mabwegon Sermon to Mabon... Either way, looking forward to paying Brighid an homage for the first time in my life, this very year. Cheers!
Lad, you tell us this Brigid's story, beautifully! Great job! May Brigid bless you and everyone who is watching this vídeo
Thank you, same to you 🕯️ 👰♀️ 🌱 ✨

Thank you for these kind words. I’m not much of a herbalist, but I do love how the folklore often tells us something about that in many cases 🌿
Thank you for that from ireland
A pleasure my friend 🙏
I'd never heard of Cailleach before. Lovely story telling. The passing of the seasons in anthropomorphic symbolism with also the birds.
Very interesting goddess 🏔️ 🧙
Thanks for watching 👍
You are doing brilliant my friend 🙏💚 You deserve more recognition
Many many thanks 🙏
I really enjoy your story telling. 💚
Thank you so much! 🙏🌳🌿
I can feel it in the air tonight xoxo 27jan2024

So glad you enjoyed. It’s cold here in England too right now. All my pipes have frozen up. Which sounds rude but it’s not. ❄️ 😂🤔
@@TheStoryCrow not rude at all, you best stoke the fire 🔥 to keep warm and enchant the thaw 😉🪄
I'm a big fan of your channel.

Well stated 🙏
Are there any folklore around Garlic-Geirlauk-Allium Sativum, the Alu rune?

But yes, lots of folklore around garlick. Future video subject 👍🌱☺️

As with the Bodhisattva of Great compassion...who left a trail of tiny white flowers as she floated across the land.... Bride.
I didn’t know that. Thank you 🙏 🌱 ☸️
Oh so that’s why the mom didn’t want the son to fall in love with the Bride because it was the mum- Woopsie
