On a new journey towards a relationship with “God”. Was atheist until seeing the process of my daughter being born. Far too many spiritual coincidences surrounding the event to be ignored. I enjoy your take on God and I agree for the most part. However, I would say that this connecting force is ultimately looking out for us and is guiding us if we choose to allow it to towards a more reticent humility and an understanding that we’re no more important them anyone else and no one else is more important than we. It’s our responsibility to serve one another and accept service. We’re all fallible and deeply flawed but that’s okay. We need to accept ourselves as we are. Flaws and all.

I really appreciate your video. I have been on my own journey with God. I have always believed in him, but broke free from church a long time ago. I went back to church last fall, but have been questioning my decision. I sat in church yesterday and felt the dread and anxiety. I feel this way quite often and what I do know is the church I was attending has some good people, but I feel so lonely sitting in church. I want to find a community with people like minded. I have felt the guilt and shame that comes with religion along with the weaponization of the bible. I don't know where I belong, but I do not think it is there.

I think your relationship with God is a personal one, and church can serve as a vehicle to connect with and get closer to God. If you find that people or “religion” are getting in the way of that then maybe it is time for a change? Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏼

I am 74 years old and have gone from being born and raised in a very conservative Christian home to Baptist then Pentecostal to the position of believing that there is a Creator of all things that we call God and that he loves us not based on what we believe but because we are part of Creation. I no longer believe any religion is more right than any other religion and I am really turned off by any religion that thinks that they are the only true religion and if you do not believe in their religion you are going to be punished for all of eternity. My God beliefs will probably continue to evolve but I believe the most important thing is to always try to treat others with love.

Opinion: The truth is nothing but unto each their own at any point in given time. The perception of truth can change or adapt depending on a variety of factors. My spirituality cannot be labeled. It is a personal relationship to my conception of God. As long as that faith serves me purpose, so will my conception and truth.

Amazing video! Exactly what I’ve been looking for. I agree with literally everything you said. I was a pet of Christianity my whole life up u til 4 years ago. I connect with Hod but not the religious god that so many want to try and convince me of. My connection has never been more real and peaceful. And that is without religion. Sharing your work with my channel! All credit give. To you ofcourse. Wish u had more in this topic thank u!!

Would you be doing a discussion maybe a group event or such about this topic? I used to be in your class and I feel this would make a really interesting discussion!

Hey Lilian! I would definitely be open to doing an event about this topic. It wouldn't be during any of my classes necessarily, but outside the classroom would be possible if enough people were interested. Hope all is well!

My believe is that the word God is just a name given as way to personify the creator. the definition of a creator is: One who brings something into existence. If we narrow it down to as far back as we can i think we can all agree that nothing has, is or will be created unless it has been thought of first and i dont think there is anything that comes before a thought. So in other words God is just another name for Human Thought.
