The vehicle mode looks like an evolution of Cybertron Optimus/Galaxy Convoy flying firetruck ("flyertruck"). Very much looking forward to seeing a review of the new Weaponiser.
What I really loved about the vehicle mode is that when Agent Fowler brought in the truck for Prime to scan, he said that it's built and designed by their M.A.S.K. division. M.A.S.K. as in the toy series known for vehicles that have all kinds of cool gadgets? Epic reference in my opinion.
actually killing blades often have holes it allows them to cut more efficiently and are known sometimes as blood runners. I love your reviews dude. You rock man. ;)
Rob Hayes I know this comment is four years old but that’s not true. Swords meant for combat or bodily damage, both via stabbing and slashing, don’t have holes like that. They do sometimes have what’s known as a fuller, or more commonly a “blood groove” which is a channel that rounds down a section or the entire length of a blade.
Dylan Prouty As Balt said, it's a weakpoint to have a hole all the way through. A groove adds strength by pushing material to the sides and creating ridges around it. A hole is a hole.
I liked this figure way more than the RID 2012 version I got. When I move him he doesn't fall apart and he has real weapons not that block that you have to hold to make it look a little bit better. This one is so much better
they combine a la tigerhawk (beast wars tm2): the guns fit halfway in the fist. this allows one to be on top, and the other to be on the underside of the fist.
You know my first impression of this figure was terrible, the vehicle mode looked strange, weird and less badass than before, this goes for robot mode as well but after seeing this review it completely proven everything i said before were lies and now this toy has become my number one priority toy to get from the Transformers Beast Hunters line. I bought mine recently, if you hold him on the chest and shake him a little, there is a little floppyness to him, but not enough that he can still stand well on his own, so it doesn't bother me.
The front really reminds me of the Animated Voyager Optimus figure. It's really similar to that, and he does have a Cybertron (last series of the Unicron Trilogy) feel to him,mainly because both this and the Cybertron figure are rather muscular-looking in a way. Either way,this is definitely a good toy for me too,because Optimus finally becomes a muscular bot once again.
all we kno was his hand sticking out of the rubble. for all we know, that hand might not even be attached to the rest. even if he does die, he'll just get resurrected by the handy-dandy plot device the rest of the Autobots stumble upon.
We don't know Hasbro's motivation behind this very short season. Maybe it's the start of something bigger? Hasbro have never let a little thing like ratings leave a story open-ended. After all, there's still plenty buying their toys. Would be nice to see many of Knock Out's potential experiments appear - as a sort of rivalry with Shockwave, given he has Silas Breakdown, and I assume the corpse of Dreadwing, to experiment with. Not to mention a few Vehicon drones at his disposal.
I wouldn't necessarily say it's one of the best Primes in the recent times, but it looks good. I haven't been following the show all that close so maybe that's why I'm not very excited about it. I would like to at least see some better paint apps on these new figures, but I'm not that interested in the Beast Hunters thing anyway.

There might be a valid canon reason reason for the simplified vehicle mode; by the time it came about, the whole robots in disguise thing was....kind of pointless in the face of Megatron's new doomsday thing, so the upgrade focused more on combat utility than disguise; as a result, he got wings instead of extra detailing on vehicle mode.
iam also praying that they don't end tf prime after beast hunters.i understand they can't go on forever but please habro atleast continue after beast hunters pls.
I love the original fe and thought it looked more g1 looking after the movie prime like a mix of them, it seems with this one they have finally gone back to the g1 bulky look I am in love with it and must pick this figure up. I just wish he had the face plate and blue windows.

When I placed the cannons onto the holes on the back of the figure (like Spada did in Bot mode) it was a tight fit and created stress marks on the insert area. Has this happened to anyone else? (\I I/)
I understand about the marketing to the common denominator, but why can't we ever get a show-accurate Prime? Or any figure for that matter? Only guys doing that on a playability scale is SH Figuarts. And don't mention Hot Toys.

Hawk It glowed blue but was metal colored. But making a second translucent color would mean an extra mold, which would skyrocket the cost.
