The "pure" build's common endboard options remind me of Early Synchro era goodstuff, where people just ran random stuff that was strong but didn't pair up with your starters in interesting ways. Not a huge fan of those kinds of deck builds, or how the majority of modern Synchro + Link Combo decks have regressed all the way back to that point, today's S:P, Barrone & Apollousa are just a repeat of that era of everyone running things like Stardust, Brionac and Goyo Guardian. It's not AS bad for the Fire decks since they at least have the Fire Princess + Amblowhale line to add some options you don't see in a lot of other decks on generic goodstuff, but I still find it annoying. I also like how the Fire King cards add extra support from multiple directions like the Backrow and extra Main Deck monsters that do things from Hand and GY. The Rescue-ACE builds are cool for similar reasons, I especially like the ability to continuously recoup even banished resources in that one thanks to their Field Spell.
I'm leaning towards fire king because I think pure snake eye does not play efficiently into Nibiru, especially going second. But I think we should play Temple in Fire Kings, it s very good in the fire mirror match, and it helps with shifter (with just SE Ash, you can end on I:P + a name in the ST to be summoned with the field spell). That said I think everyone owning the cards should try to play both and see what they prefer. I like having a bit more engine to push through boards so I like fire kings in that regard
The amount of f*cking generic NON FIRE endboard extra deck monsters are insane. I:P l, S:P, Borreload Savage, Apollousa… These are basically generic non archetype related endboards. All the talk about “FIRE” Kings, but the endgame is to essentially bring out generic bull$hit and omni negate your opponent to their grave. Imo, the whole Fire King and Snake Eyes strategy on their own merits are fine, it’s just the amount of overpowered generic cards that pushes the power levels of these decks to the point of being tier 0. At least Tearlaments had in archetype end boards with at least Rulkallos on the field with the other big bodies.
Historically, Edison increases in popularity during a tier 0 format, especially with one of this price point. I don’t need that thicc woman, time to dust off DivaZombies.
I actually find pure is less consistent than fire king because your chance of seeing a starter and extender are lower since you play like 3 witch and 3 wanted. If you open two of them you ain’t doing much. You also have less protection from cards like imperm since you don’t have Kirin.

Thoughts on Snake-Eye Rescue Ace? Seems pretty good & provides follow-up & recursion if things go left

The snake-eyes decks i've been seeing aren't even running synchros
the guy that was second in UUDS played them tho
3 witch is too much. I run 2 and the 2nd is almost always just clogging up my deck
I'm a simple man. Iykyk
