Welcome in team! Today we dive into an Egghead Katakuri list that ive been cooking. We're running 30+ triggers, which half of them pop cards on board. You have alot of board control w/ this build setup. As well as being aggressive, Kata also has access to Hiyori. Which lets us set up our life for defensive and offensive plays! This lets us put the Zero cost event in life at anytime! Hope you all enjoy this, lemme know your thoughts and help out the community here if youre running something similar!
I feel like it’s an obvious synergy, but we as Katakuri players often don’t utilize hiyori. But here in the east meta is different, now with law leaving, things change! Just something I started doing, with the amount of triggers we can use in op08, hiyori helps set up life on curves
Definitely was fun to build, I’ve been playing a hella lot of kata at locals. I personally don’t mind the law matchup, but it’ll be nice to face other decks as well. Law gate keeps alot of stuff, so new faces will be nice! Although I’ll be playing a lot of pudding :)
I have two questions: 1)why is better goes second? Beacuse i love the curve onami plus kata at 3 don, nami at five and mom at 7 2)i notice in the video that you attack first with kata and 1 don and after you summon mom at 7, but i think is better summon first and after attack with kata to be sure what we have on top of life, but maybe i’m wrong haha
I don’t think the 6c will be super great here. Having all your idea cards on going 2nd, really means you have to win the die roll. But brulee will be awesome here regardless

Hiyori is something I haven't really seen in the lists from the east but you also went way harder on the egghead package. I like it, it's a neat list

I'll stick with Kata, was wondering how the deck would run with the big mom and katas coming in the starter deck

Can this decklist work with Enel? Just replace the 10 mom with ACE, Pero with kikunojo, pudding with yamato. Idk if it could function well enough.
Im sure Enel could use a build similar to this in OP08, in fact it probably wouldnt be bad for him to do so

But stage helped lucci -3 was pretty huge. Without that they have to work a lil harder.
