A MIDI remake of one of my favorite Scritti Politti songs, the lovely, unjustly-forgotten B side, "World Come Back To Life." Made in Logic Pro.
Up first is a version with instruments mimicking the vocals, followed by a quote unquote instrumental version.

the short doubling of the bass with the saw at 0:18 etc is the most powerful bit of this composition

I like it too. It's more of a twangy synth slap in the original song, and I originally used the saw as a placeholder, but it grew on me and I decided keep it. My favorite bit has to be the extra funky bass at 2:54 etc
