I saw Marie in Cowtown in 1982, I didn't understand a word she said however she put on a great show. Lots of francophone's there. they certainly enjoyed it. I love Remi and Pav's work on this one, Awesome as always.

I understand classically trained singers must learn enough to sing in Italian, Spanish, French and German with proper pronunciation (if they do not know these languages already). And yes, it sounds great! :-)

Ah, yes, the first time I ever laid eyes on Remigio Pereira. It was on PBS. I hear this beautiful, unique, powerful voice. Who IS this?? I am truly mesmerized. That smile, the charisma, the knowing looks of approval and admiration from the band members. Now THIS guy is something special. I'm googling like crazy, and have just discovered one of the most interesting, talented, intelligent men alive. He is so humble that many have no idea of the myriad of talents he possesses. He is fascinating. He is also a truly kind, honest and admirable human being. I hope he doesn't see this, but it's hard not to be very ebullient about him. I thank God I was watching PBS that day.
