Man is it ever loud in their even with a enclosed cab when you started that very grunty motor. Might as well be a open cab seeing how the uninsulated cab don't suppress any engine noise.
I've watched all ur videos and I like your channel but it seems like you got plenty of room to run that D8 no problem like any clearing job on those big fields I always see y'all in I know most people are using track hoes to clear trees these days and so do we the hydrolic thumb makes it so much easier and faster to stack up win rows and a track hoe is a hell of a lot more fuel efficient that a big dozer you can use a 150 horse hoe do the work of a 300 horse D8K we got a D7G 200 horse dozer and it's a beast just had the engine overhauled and the undercarriage done last year and it runs and works better that it did new we bought it new in 1978 I would swear it would climb a tree if you tried it LOL out of all our equipment I love that cat better than anything and we got a excavator 5 four wheel drive scraper tractors we got Steiger tractors before they were bought out by international harvester they are 300 to 400 horse tractors and I got a cat D6D and it's a good strong dozer.
From what I've seen on your videos the ground you have is much like in North Dakota like by Grand Forks and further north in to Canada like by Winnipeg. I can sympathize with the soft ground statement.

How much for the D8K
Beautiful machine how come you are selling it?
We mainly do land improvement work & the D8K is to big & heavy... D6XW or 7 LGP tractors work best in our soft soil conditions
