The best tractor made. Brings back many memories for me, spent hours on a 4020, you name-it, I used that tractor to plant, plow, cultivate, spray, mow, drill, even give kids rides. Beautiful.
That’s real nice Eric. Classic 67’. Beautiful machine man. Are you running 540 or 1k on that beast finish mower. Man that thing is redic. I too have a 67’ diesel powershift NF.
Very nice 4020 John Deere. When you replaced your starter did you consider a high torque starter? I have a 4020 John Deere same year model with a single SVC plug in as well. I’ve recently had my tractor converted over to a 12volt system. The starter makes very different sound when started but even in the coldest temperature it works very well starting my tractor with very little effort. I had my local John Deere dealer convert the system. It’s running on one side mounted battery as well and a Chevrolet 350 alternator all in stock replacement locations. What’s the heaviest load that you run your 4020 under other than the 15ft. finish mower? Keep the videos coming? THANKS
Thanks for the information. I'll need to look into the high torque starter. The only attachment I have for it is the finish mower. I would like to get a decent auger and a few other attachments for it when I can though. It has a pretty good retirement life.
I have a '67 4020 I bought at a farm sale and have repainted it. It's as beautiful as yours!
I have a 67 4020 that was given to me by my father in law. Currently the engine is completely tore down, but very nice original tractor.
