I saw some of my favorite vloggers have posted so while Im nervous, we are planning a late May early June visit to watch when we come in from CO. I hope I like it! I'm already not keen that they changed the last float. I was one of my favorites.
I've been using Topaz extensively. There are other things you can do to make them even better. I'm continually improving my processes and at some point, I'll put together a video of other things you can do in combination with Topaz VE to make it even more spectacular!
@@EDGeProjects I am about to upload a split screen showing the Lion King Celebration VHS vs a 4K upscale. When the program can work, it works like magic. The rest of the time, it just makes everyone look like they are using a bad Instagram filter ;) I wonder if anyone has tried to clean up the 1955 Disneyland TV special.
2 things - I have cleaned up the Disneyland opening day broadcast and its on my channel! You can check it out here : th-cam.com/video/GUNrYdk8iho/w-d-xo.html . This was a little hard to do but used a multi step / platform process to get it there. Second thing is that I think animation will take the TLVEAI upscale amazingly well because those are such clear cut lines and little gradience. Live action I agree completely. I've seen where it makes people's hair look like they are wearing a helmet or their face and clothing are airbrushed. It can turn out really bad in those cases. With those, I've taken to defaulting to the HD upscale. I did one for an old Marilyn Monroe movie and it did okay, but I am thinking I can do a better job with it too. Unfortunately, we either gave away, sold or lost our VHS tapes except for a small handful before we moved and so my library is super limited. I've considered yard sales to build it back up, but to what end? Most of it's on Disney+ anyway! I'm looking forward to seeing your split screen comparison!
Also, I just subbed and looked at your uploads! I'm amazed! Your BASIC videos are great! Are you doing that on a vm, emulator or did you happen to get your hands on an old iiC or the like?
I love it! As a kid, I remember running with my Dad to ride Space Mountain, Adventure Through Inner Space and so on while the rest of the family and everyone else was distracted watching this. With my wife, we'd sometimes watch, but one of my best memories is while the MSEP was going, we ran across Tomorrowland Terrace to Space Mountain and Disco Inferno was playing so we boogied for 5 seconds then ran to the rides before the crowds came back!

Hi Danny I don't think the small world gate is shown in this video. Do you know what time marker? In Disneyland, small world is too the right behind the castle while in Disney world it is to the left. Is that perhaps what you mean?

I had just upscaled my old VHS to 4 K using Topaz Labs Video Enhance A.I. This type of tech is going to help save a lot of old video, I expect.

This VHS was one of the ones I watched on repeat as a kid all the time, its so nostalgic for me, and now I get to WORK at the parks while it is going
