the amount of detail(not only the animation) in this is criminally underrated I'll genuinely strap people onto a chair jus to watch this for 5hrs 2:05 -speed meter sound matches with song as a seperate beat 2:28 -hitting the road blockers also matches as a beat 2:40 -the shooting jus fits in with the bpm
also 1:39 - the pink signs on side of the road match to the beat 2:17 - engine's turbo matches to the music 2:23 - they both hit the sign exaclly at 3rd beat

Easily one of the best animated shorts I've seen on youtube for a long time ! Such an orginal chara design for Makina. I absolutely love the idea of her face being a screen that keeps changing depending on the situation. It definitely is worthy of having its own series ! Great job to the student who made this little gem. I'm expecting great things to come from him !

I love this type of character relationship. We're given an exposition of Makina's abundant ability, skill, and interests, while Chi's restlessness is her only surface-level merit. Their friendship is believable, and is somewhat implied to be founded on shared boredom (as many friendships are in lazy summer childhood). But since they couldn't have a "give-and-take" relationship, we're left wondering why and how such different characters bonded into adult life, through thick and thin.
They just be like homies to me. Shoot, I can almost see similar dynamics in how the bois and I be like together, singing shared songs and just having a good time, even if half of it is us ratting each other out.
I love this because it’s like a genuine conversation between friends, talking over each other, fighting, showing interest in random things, I love it❤❤❤❤❤

So detailed, from events connected in time to music to the animation details itself, like in the end Chi tilts her head and moves her eyes just like a real person would!!! Awesome!!!! this is incredibly made and what i absolutely love about it is the character interaction and how the conversation is filled with so much depth. the characters have so much character to them but the way they interact is amazing to me, they interrupt each other, they talk over each other, they disagree, makina thinks for a few seconds before refusing to let chiharu play music and chiharu ignores them immediately and play it anyway. they way chiharu gets makina in a good mood by teasing them, them dueting together, their reactions to them being pursued by the police, makina's hesitation before performing wtv action they're going to so as to show the pressure of the high stakes situation, IT'S SO FUCKING COOL OKAY!! -~- (i also like how makina's name is pronounced máquina which is just machine in spanish >:3)

Just find your channel and WOW...this is super impressive, superb animation, character design, and in less than 4 minutes, you managed to created 2 likeable characters with rich chemistry, better than most 2-3 hours hollywood movies or 1 season of modern animes.
I will give some details that I notice so un-worldly about this masterpiece: (I will edit this comment while watching) - you can see the different between synthetic hair (the robot's hair) and natural hair (chii's hair)! the synthetic more like "solid" thing attached to the head. and the natural one move more "freely" - chii can move her ears like its itchy (cute~) - you can see the "pink" light ads as mark of the start of the music, - the pink ads also sync with the beat, you can notice them on the background when makina and chii staring each other - on the scene when they are blocked by "polices", you can see their destination planet on the background. - on 2:25 a sign said " *some kanji* 6LY", i assume its their destination planet. 6LY/5hour = 1.2LY/hour. (LY=Light Years) They are frikin fast lmao
I don't really see that much anime in Japan about driving on the expressway, so this was so much fun to watch! I myself enjoy a 4 hour drive from Hiroshima to Osaka and vise versa. I wish that there could somehow be another episode exploring a Station Area, because there are some really good fun ones and I'd love to see your take on a space-themed version!
This should be used in lessons about fictional world building. Sometimes all you need is to put your whole imagination, heart, and soul into creating one scene.
Hell no. You see with the speed they were going and the distance they have to cover, they were in for a very, very long ride. Either that or the planets here are astronomically smaller than our own.
I am infatuated with that car design. I love it so much. It's so... Retro, feeling. Both in the sense of the in-universe world but also just in our world. It's like an old car model but with hyper ion boosters slapped on it it's great.

This entire short film is straight-up Disney quality. The animation is insanely good, and the setting it takes place in is beautifully designed. I love the interactions between these two characters, too!

I will give some details that I notice so un-worldly about this masterpiece: (I will edit this comment while watching)
- you can see the different between synthetic hair (the robot's hair) and natural hair (chii's hair)! the synthetic more like "solid" thing attached to the head. and the natural one move more "freely"
- chii can move her ears like its itchy (cute~)
- you can see the "pink" light ads as mark of the start of the music,
- the pink ads also sync with the beat, you can notice them on the background when makina and chii staring each other
- on the scene when they are blocked by "polices", you can see their destination planet on the background.
- on 2:25 a sign said " *some kanji* 6LY", i assume its their destination planet. 6LY/5hour = 1.2LY/hour. (LY=Light Years) They are frikin fast lmao

I don't really see that much anime in Japan about driving on the expressway, so this was so much fun to watch! I myself enjoy a 4 hour drive from Hiroshima to Osaka and vise versa. I wish that there could somehow be another episode exploring a Station Area, because there are some really good fun ones and I'd love to see your take on a space-themed version!

Hell no. You see with the speed they were going and the distance they have to cover, they were in for a very, very long ride. Either that or the planets here are astronomically smaller than our own.

I am infatuated with that car design. I love it so much. It's so... Retro, feeling. Both in the sense of the in-universe world but also just in our world. It's like an old car model but with hyper ion boosters slapped on it it's great.
Actually, the frame part of the car design is an exact model of an old Honda s800! Old Japanese car.
