Loved the filigree ring and always a fan of the treasures found next to the seawall/rocks! That bottle piece from the 1700s was really interesting and thank you for showing what the bottle would have looked like if it was intact. I always learn something new each time I watch your videos! Hope you both had a lot of fun at the bottle show!
Hi Rita! The bottle show was great! You will see our purchases in an upcoming video. Glad to enjoyed the beach trip! That 1700's bottle base was a surprise, (although we are always hoping deep down to find a whole one! ) And I love the ring, despite its rough condition. 😁💍😎
Hello 👋 from New York you Guy's Found Some Amazing Finds my Favorite Definitely Was the Little Porcelain face the Great Radium Bottle and the the Terracotta dish Thank you for Bringing me Along with you Guy's I can't wait to see What you Find Next 😊
Hi Tarra, I love that little face too! I intend to make a stick pin out of her. Too bad the 1930s ring is so far gone. Always good to hear from you Tarra! 👋😃😎👍
Hi Anastasia! 👋😃 I read that Cliquot Club was eventually sold to Cott Beverages. Massachusetts also had Chelmsford Ginger Ale, which was bought out by Canada Dry. When I was a child, my parents called it "tonic". 😁💖
@@massriverpickers I wondered about the Tonic. I think I will try those out. As far as I know they are even sugar free. 🙂. I really really enjoy listening to you and your husband explore the water ways and speak of the history of your finds. Thank you so much for sharing your research, your experience, and your environment.
You're welcome! Some of our knowledge is from years of experience, but we continue to learn along the way. We still find things we've never seen before.. that is part of the fun! This week's video will be of last weekend's antique bottle show, at Seekonk, MA. Browse the show and see what we bought. (We did well! 😁😎)
Hi There! The three marbles were at another beach, across town, same day. It was worth the stop, not just for the marbles, but for that hunk of 1700's black glass! This weekend we set up at a bottle show.. video coming soon! (Will there be marbles?? Maaaaybe! 😁💖)
Nice trip to the beach:) I love that you take out trash when you visit locations. The ring was really pretty and it's always a good day when you find marbles:) I adore the tiny bottles! Thanks for sharing:)
Hi Kathi! Taking the trash out helps everyone.. a little at a time, it adds up! We leave the more interesting pieces for other beachcombers, but we take the unsightly stuff out. I like tiny bottles too... We don't have a lot of room here. 🙄😬 I should send you some tiny bottles.. we have plenty! You can email us at drewsnorro@gmail.com (Please don't post your address here). -Cathy 😁💖
Always enjoy your videos, love the blue clear💎marble. Thank you both for cleaning and doing a great job of helping our country 👍. Stay safe stay well.😊
Thank you Penny! Sometimes I can't decide if what we do is important or silly! It is just what we do, and enjoy. I need to take a super close-up of a clearie marble, so you can see the upsidedown trees reflected inside! Off to do a bottle show today (future video!) - Cathy 👋😃😎👍
Hello Pam, And welcome to our channel! 👋😃😎 We love mudlarking, bottle digging, river walking, etc. We also go to antique bottle shows, and flea markets (when the rivers are too high). I do have a few videos up with my jewelry/crafts... Two or three of those videos are in the "pottery hunts" play list.. I hunt for old pottery sherds and glass, and make them into a piece of jewelry. I will look these up later, and give you a link. We also enjoy the history behind the finds. Occasional backyard wildlife as well. But mostly mudlarking/ river picking. Hope you enjoy our channel! -Cathy💖 (& Drew)
Here lataley been busy, but i keep up with you two as soon as i get a chance! Some great finds. Love the ring! The stones are usually gone. Old black glass is nice to find . Hope you have a great time at the bottle show! See you two on your next video. Good Luck!
When they did the urban renewal for a town close to where you are in this video they did a lot of dredging on the waterfront It was a field day in the muck for 18th century black glass bottles I can't forget the smell albeit a small price to pay Those were the days 🤪
Hi Cathy and Drew, looks like a lovely day there! We are still waiting for Summer to arrive lol. That ring really did look like a ring pull and I would probably have ignored it so there is a lesson for me 😂Beautiful marbles, I love the orange and red one. Hope you are well and had a good bottle show 😁💗 x
Hi Amanda! (I guess I will just stay up)Lol Our bottle show is today.. we leave in an hour. That's ok, I can sleep tomorrow.🥱 Yes, spring/summer has arrived here! 🌸 BTW, I almost didn't pick up that ring, for that reason! 💍 But it looked a bit different. I wonder what it's made of?🤔 I plan to video the show today.. it will probably go up in a week or two. Hope you had a good Coronation week.👑 Sending you spring weather! 🌞🙂💖🌼
@@massriverpickers I had a wonderful Coronation week 😁Am looking forward to seeing the bottle show, you know I love going shopping with you guys! Enjoy your day 😀💗 x
The “Drewminater” got a haircut 💇! Wow that portion of colonial bottle is so cool ! It’s intriguing to think that the people that drank from it may have been plotting a revolution !!! That odd little lady’s face was looking up ya & begging to be taken home !! Rings are so fascinating…. Who wore it & how was it lost ? Thank you both ! I escaped my caretaker duties ( mom w/ dementia ) and had a nice time ….. Moms crying now … so back into the breach I go !! Looking forward to the bottle show vid ! 😮
Drew's haircut was overdue.. ( offered to do a Johnny Ramone cut, but he refused 😄) Yes, the colonial black glass is exciting, even if it is broken! And the ring looks like a 1930s engagement 💍! ( Not sure of the metal or stone though.. and was it lost, or thrown away?! ) 🤔😎 Glad we could take you away for a bit.. God bless you for the hard work you are doing. It is the right thing to do, (even if your efforts feel unappreciated). Dementia is a terrible thing (my Mom as well... I will be missing her tomorrow, especially). Hang in there! 🙏💖 BTW, the bottle show was great! Will begin editing the video ASAP! -Cathy & Drewminater!😁😎👍
What cool finds, Cathy! That old pontiled bottle base is awesome, and I love the ring. Marbles are always great to find! That's it. I wanna come play at the beach with you!🤣❤️
Haha 😄 It is too much fun at that beach! The huge pontiled bottle base and 💍 are our favorite finds.. I still don't know what the ring is made of. 🤔 The ground chemistry there is horrible on metal objects ( and skin 🧤 ) You wouldn't want to swim there. 😝😎 💖💍
Nice finds. That face piece looks so, I don’t know, constipated? 😂😂 Sorry, I couldn’t resist a joke. The spot the find I saw the ring right off but didn’t think that was it since I thought it was an old pop top tab!
Hi Susan, I also thought the ring was a pull tab.. but it looked a little different (I metal detect, and have seen MANY pull tabs!) Too bad the elements have ravaged the ring so.. It looks just like a 1930s engagement ring! I love the little face 💖. It will make a great pin, I think. 😁💍
I get so upset when I see those baby killer bottles! They sicken me 🤮 Nice bottles, marbles doll pieces and the other things you found! Great work you two ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Hi Susan, Medicine in those days was very scary.. for both children and adults! I am sure most mothers were just trying to help their children, not knowing the dangers. Nowadays, we still have dangerous drugs.. just listen (or try to listen ) as the side effects of meds are rattled off rapid fire during commercials: "fatal events have occurred" Gee, I think I want some of that! Sheesh! But children and the elderly are most vulnerable. (That is what makes ME angry 😠) ANYWAY, history is important! (Even though I hated it in school Lol 😄) -Cathy 💖
Lol 😂 I also didn’t like History in school, I don’t know how I passed. Thanks, for sharing that and you are right these days a lot worse. They definitely let you know what can happen if you take the medicine today! Have a wonderful Mother’s Day! 💐💐💐
