Psalms 132-134

We close the section of Psalms known as the Songs of ascent. If they were actually put into use as a way of worship on a person's way to God's house, they would be perfectly suited for such a use. It would appear that they may have been simply written as normal Psalms, but later collected in a way that would serve that purpose over time.
No matter how they are viewed, they are a call to worship and be thankful to the God of Israel for His blessings and that He had made a place for them to assemble in His name. The idea's behind them can also, in an application way be understood by the church in giving thanks to the God who lives and moves among His people through the ages.
We still gather in His name, among those who are of like mind and heart.
