    Great video. I like the compact size to strength ratio

    I have 3 spools ordered right now. These will be very helpful in my packs and kayak for tying up things and lashing down things.

    i just ordered a bunch of these ..i think i might crochet some webbing type bags/ pouches or nets loosely with them that can be deployed easily a bit at a time as needed for actual cordage. crotchet is great as it only ever has one working loop that can unravel ..so easy to push thread thu its own last loop to finish off... Ahhh the advantages of having girl skils finally pays off lol

    Very interesting as I am looking at changing all of my guy-lines to one of those cords. Might have to bite the bullet on this one and just carry that cord as I currently have 2 types. A cheap Lidl cord and paracord for permanent tasks. I sort of have 2 kits as well in that my Bushcraft kit is going all natural.

    I am over prepared. When is the end of the world coming so I can finally use my stuff?

    • @cujomojo

      Sorry to be the one who breaks it to you, but your not prepared for anything. What exactly are you prepared to do? Live in a box, eating freeze dried food and shit in a bucket? Use your stuff now while your learning to live off the land. I am in no way a “Prepper”, knowledge is the only preparation you need. If your back to watch this video tomorrow then at least your a “Survivor”, you know what it takes to stay alive for one more day. Keep doing that, you will be fine.

      @@cujomojo I’m with you man. I love these things and knowing how to solve survival problems…. I was being ironic on myself -albeit with some dose of humor-. Thank you for very useful info.

    Where did you get the chord storage bag?

      It’s a child’s pencil case, once my son had no further use for it I stole it from him.

    Is what you call tarred nylon the same thing as "bank cord"?

      BANKLINE IS TROTLINE ,, THERE ARE VARIOUS TYPES MADE FROM DIFFERENT MATERIALS, THE NYLON LINE WORKS WELL

    What is the strength of the line?

    • @cujomojo
      @cujomojo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Micro cord is 1.18mm thick and 100lb test.
      Nano cord is 0.75mm thick and 36lb test.

      @@cujomojo see that right there is more than enough to keep me with paracord and bank line. With such a low test weight all I can think about is how much more often repairs would have to be made. Nah, if I were gonna use micro or nano it would only be in my sewing kit for heavy duty repairs but there again too when I go out to the wild I'm out for up to a week at a time so it only behooves me to use paracord or bank line for bush projects.

    Do you think the micro cord is strong enough to use as a ridge line for a 10’ x 10’ tarp? I think most of it is 100lb test.

    JUST GET SOME 300LB BRAIDED , 8 STRAND, SALTWATER FISHING LINE ,

    • @cujomojo
      @cujomojo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I did mention that I used to use braided fishing line, not really cost effective for what I want to use it for. I’m never going to need 300lb line to tie a few sticks together or a few guy line’s. I can get a couple of rolls of Nano cord for a fraction of the cost of spool of good saltwater braid, and having it on several rolls means I can space it out amongst my kit without having to re-roll it onto separate spools.

      @@cujomojo YEA, THATS A LOT OF TUFF LINE. I'VE BEEN USING BRAINDED LINE SINCE I WAS A KID , THAT'S ABOUT 60 YEARS AGO. TOOK OFF MY UNCLES REEL.
      BUT YOU KNOW EVEN NORMALL FISHING LINE , SAY , 12 TO 17 LB MONO WILL HOLD DOWN TARPS IN SOME PRETY HIGH WINDS. THE THING IS TO USE YOUR IMAGINATION AND GET OUT OF THE BOX. IF ONE GOES BY THE BOOK HE'LL NEVER DEVELOPE HIS SKILLS, LIKE THEY SAY ,,, "IMPROVISE, OVERCOME AND ADAPT" THE BOOK IS A RULE OF THUMB, BUT THE IMAGINATION EXCEEDS THE LIMITS. CHEERS
