Attack on Titan is pure cinema, and it’s episodes like this and most of this season that continue to prove it. One of the greatest stories of all time.

As a manga reader, i can confirm that this show would go down in history as one of the best written show, and the discussion/debate about it would last forever. When you fully understand Eren, he is the best written character that i have ever seen. Sadly, we will have to wait months for the ending.

7:05 sounds like a call back on jean's hesitation back on s3 part 1. if they hesitate, they wouldn't change a thing even if it is for a bit.
In the manga it’s Jean finishing the sentence by if I hesitate, then my friends die, mikasa never says anything about the rumbling

Floch is an easy character to hate but he's a darn well written character with fantastic arc
Floch is great and all as a character but for me tho, after that whole Erwin death and Armin revive scene, he became pretty one-dimensional. He is like this character whos only goal is to be one with the villain.. (tho im not complaining cause you needed that to push the story further.)
the whole Floch arc for me, as an anime-only viewer, is so overrated. We never really had any background as to why from being a cry baby he just decided to became this annoying side guy. No deep reason for his inner motive or something. Thats just my opinion tho.

We spend so long seeing Connie as a lovable fool that we forget he’s earned his place in Levi Squad by merit. Remember how awed Eren was by how quickly Petra and Co. turned Annie into mincemeat (before Annie used her for chiropractic practice)? Connie is like that now and then some.

Remember that Levi, Hange, Mikasa, Connie and Jean, with Armin and Sasha as ground support, took on the 35-man squad Kenny had, despite said squad having anti-personnel weapons and expecting them. And that was barely a few weeks after they graduated.
they probably exceeded the last levi squad- not only have they master how to fight the 9, what killed the last team, but also i think they all outlived them (expect mike maybe)
@@AoAstar Mike wasn't in the Levi Squad. He had his own squad with Nanaba, Gelga, Lynne and Henning who all died defending Utgard Tower in Season 2.
going even further back, Connie graduated in the top ten of the 104th southern division cadet corp and look who are in front of him: Mikasa (literal superhuman and war goddess), RBA and Eren (titan shifters), Jean (natural leader), Marco (best boy). The boy had great potential from the very beginning.
Love the Magath and Shadis team up. One taught kids to be soldiers and the other taught them to be warriors.

When Annie lost her purpose to fight, she was immediately able to cry and say that she doesn't want to fight with anyone anymore
Connie getting his moment to rescue Annie and Reiner is a callback to the season 1 episode where Annie saved Connie in the weapons depot basement and season 2 episode where Reiner saves Connie in the Castle Fort stairwell. Its a great callback for him to get to return the favor now that both of them are his allies again.
Keith shadis "The bystander", No one got to know his heroics that he blew up the reinforcements. Rip Commander
I love how, like Porco back in 4x19, both Magath and Shadis died wearing the Wings of Freedom (in Shadis' case, for the first time since 1x1!). Both chose the time of their death, giving their life to give a chance to their "children", and being finally free.
😭 god bless them for realizing in the end that children shouldn't be soldiers

What an episode! Falco, true to his name, has a bird-like design. Sorta like a griffin, actually. The only thing missing is a pair of wings.
Shadis and Magath--two instructors and father figures to their respective group of kids, the Scouts and Warriors. They were like brothers from another mother. It's sad to see them go, but it was the perfect ending for them both. They were not mere bystanders in the end and they gave their kids a chance to strive towards a future and better life.
this episode is a masterpiece...
MAPPA really put their all into this episode. Floch rallying up his troops with a speech about how if they lose now, their comrades dreams will be in vain, everyone will be lost, and telling them to fight. Being willing to stand on the front lines until the very end and failing when he's merely a hair from his goal. Just like Erwin. He had to become like the Devils he always admired. For Eren. And with that sheer determination of all of Eldia riding on his shoulders, he charged at the Jaw Titan(known for its speed), Hange(one of the highly trained veteran soldiers, AND Pieck(another extremely fast titan) AND he outmaneuvered ALL OF THEM and almost took down the ship. Even with the odds stacked against him, he still fought.
The Alliance says that their fallen comrades would never agree with what Eren plans to do.
Floch says he's following what Eren wants to do BECAUSE of their fallen comrades.
That speech Floch gave the others hit me really hard because it has all the same elements that Erwin's speech in 2x12 did. "There is no future for humanity without Eren!" vs "If Eren dies, this island will drown in a sea of blood!" are exactly the same. His willingness to keep going even after grievous injury, to lay it all on the line for the slim chance at victory, it's all Erwin reborn. To me, the only difference between Erwin and Floch is that Floch is more straight forward with his attempts at manipulation, "Do this or die" instead of Erwin's "It'd be best if you did this, it's just a side effect that it's best for me".
For all that the Paradisian alliance members believe their comrades, and Erwin especially, would be against genocide I think they're glossing over their worse features. If Erwin were still here instead of Armin then he'd be a Jaegerist, fighting in defense of the island and its people, not the enemies that eagerly await their destruction.

Whenever I enjoy this kind of bloodshed Im always reminded of that Marleyan dude in throwing titans in paradis wall. Forgot his name but he had this speech that pertains to enjoying violence or whatever and as if he’s talking to us.

Crazy episode. So much happened, it felt like 5 minutes to me. Im amazed by how incredibly well Mappa animated this episode. The action was incredible.
Seeing Shadis and Magath going away like they did brought a tear to my eye. Amazing characters overall. Both had their redemption arcs. Both of their stories came full circle but in the end they ended up dying to protect the others. Dying like heroes.
I also just realized now that the scouts didn’t even know Shadis was there when he died :( It does make a lot of sense tho considering he said earlier that he was always a bystander and a spectator.
Quick thing to note, u guys said "falco's titan kinda looks like a bird". Well his name is Falco, add an and u have "Falcon". And also in the first episode of season 4 they said "don't we have a titan with wings?". The foreshadowing is insane. Also the bird in s4 part 1 intro flying over Falco is also foreshadowing. Iseyama really is the goat.
I think people hated on Floch way more then they should of. He is one hell of a character, i didn't really like him either but u gotta respect the man. He went from being a kid scared to death on his first mission to dying to protect paradis and his own beliefes. The fact that he also went against Hange, Mikasa, Connie and the titans without being scared showed us how much he has grown as a character. He stayed true to his beliefes the entire time and he did what he thought Erwin would of wanted him to. A very well written character imo.
And Annie at the end, man it is heartbreaking to see how they all went from being Comrades in season 1 to what we are seeing now. Everyone has suffered enough already. But if u think about it, it has come full circle here aswell. The scouts and «warriors» were friends in the first seasons, became enemies and now became friends again.
Easily a 10/10 episode if u ask me. Only one more episode to go now. No way they are able to cover everything in the manga left, so im looking forward to see if we are getting a movie or a part 3.

From being scared as shit in his first mission to become the head of the military, inspiring a group of people to protect their country, fighting against 2 shifters and previous commander Hange, Floch sure came a long way. It's like Erwin said his soldiers will not buckle or yield when faced with the cruelty of the world. Floch took that words to heart and devoted himself to protect Eldia till his last breath. Love him or hate him ,you cannot overlook the sheer determination and will of this man. Surely one of the better written characters of the entire series.
I mean he also has a shit ton of negative traits you are glossing over like pushing for world genocide, having no problem blackmailing people with spinal fluid, killing civilians, killing his own "friends" if they cross him, etc. He is a good character, but a terrible person.

People, or at least the ones with common sense, already know Floch is a terrible person, for all the stuff you’ve described, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a well written character, which is what the first comment is saying, so your comment makes no point or argument that contradicts in any way his comment. Even though I don’t like him, he’s such a necessary character in the story still, with an amazing development.

Falco's jaw titan looks like a bird because he drank zeke's spinal fluid and got some beast titan traits. Plus the beast titan you get is based off an animal you have a connection with. Zeke had a monkey stuff animal and faclo was telling that one bird to fly away plus his name is literally falco

If you remember, in s1 when pixis & eren were talking pixis told eren that they say a legend has said a common enemy will unite people but eren didn't think it will work, & even what eren is doing now, is uniting countries of outside of paradise together not paradise and the outside world, the alliance is hange & the group not the whole paradise with marelys, this lelouch thing won't work out for this situation
LEGIT best looking titan, man. I think he looked like that (with fur, almost like a bird) because he's mixed with the beast titan, that's why he looks so animalistic. BUT DAMN!

The reason why Falco looks like a bird is because the spinal fluid he drank was from zeke who is the beast titan so it gave him beast like traits in this case a bird however it should be noted that every beast titan is different mr ksaver the beast before zeke was a ram and there was a snake one too way back which is why in the season 2 intro it she’s zeke running with all those animals because they are all beast titans

Floch is literally a half of Erwin and Armin is the other half. Floch willing to sacrifice everything just to accomplish his goal and Armin's 999 IQ and Strategies. Both are from Erwin.
Trust me, erwin is completely different from floch, maybe his leadership, but in terms of ideology not.

Grisha, Zekes, and Erens titans all have pointed ears . Some titan characteristics are passed down genetically I think
One thing that I would add about Keith is that if you remember in season three he talks about not being anyone special, in the end he was special if not for him the train of reinforcements would’ve killed all of them so if he was not there to take out the trade of reinforcements they would’ve failed their mission. I think that’s pretty cool, he gets to gin out as someone special

I said it once and I"ll say it again there's definitely gonna be a movie after this cause there are only 1 more episode left for this season.
Without spoiling anything for the manga there are only 10 manga chapters left that haven't been animated yet and even if the final episode is 45 minutes like demon slayer or even a 1-hour special it's still won't be enough so this is definitely not the end.
In a way, I felt like season 3a was all for this fight.
They could never have done this without learning not to hesitate there

there's a teory that stated the 3 daugthers of ymir consist some of her power
first daughter maria's titan inherited the spirit/soul of ymir titan then split to : the founding titan (titan's power core or "soul" itself), the female titan (ymir's motherly instict) and attack titan (embodiment of ymir's soul yearn for freedom)
the second Rose inherited her mother strength : warhammer titan ( Fighting ability ), collosal titan ( body mass ) and armored titan ( defense )
the third Sina inhireted her mother imagination split into : Beast titan (different form depends on the wielder) , Cart titan ( different usability depends on the situation ) and jaw titan ( different fighting style and tactics depends on the fields/ place)
since Falco got juice from beast titans he looks like beast & jaw titan fusion prolly if he get a piece of cart titan flesh he prolly gonna get closer to Sina's titan
Does no one take into account how fucked Earth's ecosystem would be if the rumbling actual wiped out the rest of humanity? Paradis wouldn't survive the eco damage that would occur. Eren is cause not only human genocide, but also eco genocide wiping out forests, animals, fish all of it would not fucking end well for Paradis and would cause more civil war within cause food source. The population would grow and the food would shorten. You can't cause global destruction and not suffer any consequence whether it be human or mother nature in the end it will end badly.
I understand both sides, but in the end causing global genocide and destruction is just morally and humanly wrong. You don't just have a paradise on earth when the rest of earth is completely wiped to the ground. But, that's my opinion I know i'm gonna get someone to pop off at me and that's cool we all have opinions we wouldn't be human if we didn't.

Its up to viewer interpretation (the scene wasn't even in the manga, its anime orginal). My thoughts on the matter are that I think Mikasa did it as a fear factor for the other Jaegerists. Floch had already gone down. Mikasa started overkilling in brutal ways. Then the next scene shows what's left of the Jaegerist forces beginning to flee. I believe this indicates that Mikasa used the corpses of already dead enemies to cause the remaining enemies to flee which allowed them to live.

I don't know how they're gonna do the ending, if it's an episode or a movie, either way I'd still love to continue to watch more AoT from you guys, you're my favorite reactors! I hope you can do a rewatch during (if there is) a wait and post it as well, we'd all love to see you go through the whole journey again. Or you can just watch Attack Junior High. Judging by your anime picks, I'm not sure this is a genre you're into since it's a parody, but it's still a feel-good anime of AoT where you can just relax and be happy for the characters because no one gets eaten and dies and honestly after everything that's happened in canon this is my therapy 😌
I just watched your channel recently and I really like your channel. If you're going to react to the next anime, I recommend you watch Haikyuu. This is the best volleyball sports anime series and it won't let you disappointed. Unique content with eye-catching suspense matches. The funny situations, the matches that end in tears or smiles are all fully embodied Haikyuu! . Haikyuu has had 4 seasons and is about to release season 5. Hope you will see my comment.

You just cannot hate Floch, really I just can't, he did exaaactly what Lord Erwin would do for Paradis.
I disagree. Its like Hange said. Most of the scouts from the past died without ever knowing about the outside world. But, they weren't the type of people to say "as long as we have safety, nothing else matters". The fallen scouts were outcasts that were willing to fight for a dream of a better world that nobody else inside the walls believed in. They wouldn't be ok with wiping away the outside world in exchange for a little safety.
Also, I think its very damning to claim a character supports genocide without direct conformation in the source material. Ultimately we will never know how Erwin would have responded to learning of the outside world. But, I have always strongly disagreed with people that claim that Erwin would be willing to kill billions of people.
@@hamsterfromabove8905 exactly. I believe there's really no scenario where Erwin would have agreed with genocide. Perhaps, after learning the truth and having lost his motivation, he would have even retired or be moved as a background character like historia.

I don't know about these latest episodes,I have a mixed feelings about it, you find yourself confused, because u can't root for neither of the two sides .. I care for the characters that we've been with since season 1, but still, in the other hand when u come to think about it, the Yeagerists have a point and the right to fight for their homeland, i feel frustrated and raged like them, like man the whole world is against them, Marley literally destroyed their lives ..
I know its a cycle but still....
I think us the audience need to be neutral, like u can't be clapping for our characters killing their homies...i don't really like Floch but he was a LEADER who fight till the end with his fellows even maybe knowing he will lose the fight..
At the end, U can't deny that he's the most realistic character in this situation..
I'm not sure I agree. Everyone can agree the situation sucks on both sides. However, sometimes there aren't two good opinions. Genoiciding billions of people is just wrong. I don't know how much more simply to put it. Its understandable how they progressed to such, but at the end of the day the Jeagerists are genocidal fascists. One of the morales of the story is to show the pitfalls of blindly following nationalistic ideals.

Falco's Jaw Titan is a bird because he drank Zeek's spinal fluid so he also has a part of the Beast Titan within him.
From what I’ve read, The last episode is gonna be 1hr long. But I wasn’t sure about that. Anyways! This episode is lit, specially Mikasa scene, the level of her power of having an Ackerman blood is like Levi now, because of how she brutally killed her people. I think the reason Falco's jaw looked like a bird is because Zeke turned him in to a titan with his own SPINAL FLUID wich maby made falco inherit some of Zekes/Beast titans traides,
because come on, he LOOK'S like a bird, and falco has had a special connection with birds since the first episode that he was intiduced in, the episode even opend by Falco laying on the battleground telling a BIRD to fly away from the warzone.
The beast titan works like this: the one who inherits it WILL LOOK LIKE THE ANIMAL THEY HAVE A CONNECTION WITH, when we see Zeke as a child before Dina and Grisha put him in to the warrior program he was playing with a monkey doll, HIS TITAN IS A BIG APE!!!
anyways thats just my theory on why falco looks like a bird. (BTW i have NOT read the manga and just find this to be the best reason right now for falco's titan)

im feeling like maybe the mikasa scene was too hollywood and it kind of took me out of the show- but at the same time it took me out and into a great place of mikasa badassery so idk how to look at it
She scared away the rest of the Jaegerists and in doing so saved their lives. She also destroyed a thunderspear so they can't use it against them.

I suggest whilst we were all waiting for part 3, you can read the manga and then also check out the AOE theories to pass the time. Currently, few minorities have been theorizing that there were two timelines, the AOE ( anime only ending ) and McE ( manga canon ending ), one reason is that Isayama hinted that he had an original ending for the story but decided to go a different path, probably because he considered the majority. This might happen or not but it will give you a whole different perspective of the story.

The Alliance don’t want Eldians to die. They just want to resolve conflict a different way rather than exterminating their enemies. You rooting for Eldia is like playing a video game and liking it. Then comes a new game that is similar, but you decide you don’t like it, because it isn’t the game you’re used to. Paradisians just happened to be the protagonists for 3 seasons. It doesn’t mean they are good, it doesn’t mean they are bad. But now, we have new protagonists. We see the world through their lenses, their points of view. And you are biased not to empathize with them, even though their struggles are very similar, because you didn’t watch three seasons of them. If they were introduced first, you would probably be on their bandwagon
