    Re-Uploaded due to copyright claim for 7 seconds of a song being in the original upload. Re-Uploaded with music removed and I took the time to make the upload even better.

    I’ve sent this and posted this probably 1000 times since 2019, but I grew up and I generation 2 ford Econoline pop top camper van. That van has been to every corner crack and crevice Oregon, California, Washington, Baja California Sur, and various motorsports tracks across the Midwest. It’s probably had more time on unimproved unincorporated roads, and it has on highways, 2 Wheel Dr. standard clearance Econoline 200. We never got it stuck. We never had any issues except for one flat tire in the probably 30 odd years we owned it. I still did this day. Remember an extended rock counting trip with the grandparents in eastern Oregon or I swear the grandpa’s what he called country Road was a dried up river bed. The van was bouncing all over the place, but we made it through.

      Looking for a picture of the van my uncle had when I was a kid. You don't remember much when you're 3-4 years old but I remember my uncles van and how everything was set up.
      Maybe me owning a van now is making up for the time I wish my parents had one when I was younger lol

    Lifted with bigger tires definitely definitively makes going over curbs and other road barriers a lot easier.

      It's the Motorweek Quigly 4x4 reviews and that Sportsmobile Meet that inspired me! Unlike the Sportsmobile meet that was customers only I want my meets to have all the Makes/Models and lift kits. Everyone welcome.
      I hope you can make it man Glad there is more GM representation at these meets now. First 6 meets were all Econolines!

      I appreciate that. I want to be the guy repping this hobby since I don't have the constraints of vendors like a Sporsmobile meet would.

    Doesn't matter if you drive a $10,000 Van or $200,000 Van. Destination is the same and your eyes will see the same thing.

    What exactly does the locker do?

    • @JohnDrivesAnything
      @JohnDrivesAnything  23 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      In simple terms a 2wd vehicle is 1 wheel drive. 1 tire gets power and the other trails. To make things worse the tire with the least amount of traction is the one getting power.
      So if you ever seen a non locker vehicle with 2wd get stuck it's kicking up dirt/sand/rocks off one tire. That's called being a 1 legger.
      A Rear locker will give power to both tires so both tires are spinning at the same time Vs 1.
      So most 4wd vehicles are 2wd. 1 tires is getting power in the front and 1 tire is getting power in the back. 4wd Vehicles with locker front and rear are true 4wd and those are the most capable vehicles. As Far as I know only Colorado ZR2s and Rubicons are the only vehicles that have front and rear locker from the factory.
      Some vehicles even 2wd OFF packages like 2wd Tacoma TRD Pros come with a locker.

      Watch the tires as it equally kicks up sand. If this was open diff/1 legging sand would be kickoff 1 tire

      @@charlesartificer2158 7 seconds of song from a Artist I never heard of wanted 100% of my ad revenue money! Not Even the guy who made the Peanuts Gang song wanted 100% of the revenue and was willing to share revenue. 1,000,000 views = $6,000 can't take the risk of going viral and giving my ad revenue to some artist I never heard of before lol

      I get it time is money and people can afford it so $200,000 is change out of couch cushions for some people.
      I wanted to do this video because it's cute that Sportsmobile did a Customer only meet. Our meet was way better with vans of all price ranges from 2wd stock, 2wd lifted and 4x4 Conversions!
      I just want people to know the eyes see the same thing, destination is the same no matter what your van cost.

      I’ll be in the under 10G club. Still be able to go anywhere a 2wd can go.
      Clearance is key your rear differential is only going to be so high off the ground. Taller tires will only get you up a couple inches higher. That’s when choosing your track is key. It’s amazing where you’ll be able to go. Lifted Vans definitely look better.
      Great video John trying to getting everyone out there.

      @@todstrucks2919 When I see Richard again I will make a Overland rigs under 10K club video. Even with a 5 inch lift he will be checking in at under 10K. One day I hope these meets get big enough where someone is inspired to do a Dodge Van Lift thats 5 inches.

    Biggest thing about 2WD with a locker vs 4WD is the low range option

    • @JohnDrivesAnything

      4x4 all the way if you can budget it. I made this video to hype people up that don't have high dollar builds that you can go camping with a stock 2wd and a mattress. Most 4x4 vans I see are at beaches or paved paid campgrounds.

    • @woolengrappler
      @woolengrappler 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @ totally. The Sprinter and Transit AWD seem like good options as well for a bit better snow and forest road performance with some all terrain tires since 90% of driving is probably on tarmac unless you’re searching out places to “wheel”
