That might explain the apparent disappearance today of all Monstera - Swiss Cheese Plants! In the 70s they were in every office reception and every living room. Now they are nowhere to be seen. Spooky!
Holly Palance's arrival in the London penthouse makes the opening memorable. She's charming, beautiful. sofisticated, so detached from the dreadful. Love her and every scenes she is into. Pete Walker knew how to enhance womanhood. He did the same with Stephanie Beacham.
Reasonable Pete Walker directed film. Not his best but very watchable. Decent performances by all the cast. If I knocked on the door of a remote mansion in the country and Sheila Keith opened it I would run away so fast I would break Usain Bolts world record. she is seriously scary. Not bad and a nice print.

I tried watching it on Tubi, but couldn't sit through five minutes of the crappy VHS quality picture of the version there. Thanks for uploading the unbutchered cut on here!
I know Tubi is free so I feel like I shouldn't complain but by God where do they get their prints? You're excited to see they have a rare title and then it turns out it's so dark you can't see anything or it's missing like twenty minutes of footage. Have you seen the version of House of Whipcord they've got? Completely unwatchable.
Wow loved this film 🎥 and the house they filmed in.gail if you get everything you want make the most of it as someday you will not get everything you want .
My ex wife, from Chicago, saw Jack Jones perform for her prom, back in 72'. She met him, and mentioned he was extremely charming...one his favorite songs, ' roses and lollipops'..!
I started watching this same movie over on Tubi except the movie is titled, "Encore." The picture quality was so bad. It looked like it was a copy of an old VHS video tape. I gave up and came here. Your picture is quite an improvement!
Jack Jones was a pretty successful singer-songwriter at the time in the Las Vegas Bobby Darren/Wayne Newton style. Not the Eagles, but lots of people liked him.
I found this on utube about 3 yrs ago but I totally forgot the title of the movie then I watched a review on a similar movie I watched called frightmare from 1974 and in the review they mentioned this movie so its great I've managed to track it down again
Another film that made me accept my age...sighhhh...Pamela Stephenson..Ive grown up with her, sad to see the aging process so starkly reminded. Good B film though :o)
Okay...What I do not understand is...If you wound going crazy in a house & you ended up in a hospital ...Why on earth would you go back to that house???
Very good slasher film from the 70’s , the killer’s mask in this film is very similar to another slasher from the 80’s Curtains , el asesino es Mr. B !
Ha ha! Not only that, but she doesn't even bother to wipe the knife blade before using it on food. There are bound to be tiny particles of metal left on it from the abrasive action of the steel. No Health & Safety in those days, I guess!
Anybody else think it’s strange that the penthouse is located in a building that looks like an utter dump? From the entrance to the elevator, up to the penthouse floor, from the hall to the door, it looks so run down. But beyond that door there’s a fancy penthouse.
The Long Good Friday is another great old thriller from the 1970s but sadly TH-cam removed it a couple of years ago. It was made in 1979 and released in 1980 and stars Bob Hoskins in his best acting role ever as London gangster Harold Shand who has a big plan to redevelop the London docklands with the help of the American Mafia.
His movies suck me in, and I don't get it. I love horror but am not one for slasher films, except Black Christmas and a few others. Love old 70's horror and older. Thanks so much.
Saw Frightmare and House of Whipcord and found them repellent. I did, however, really enjoy The Flesh and Blood Show, so I decided to give this a bash.

OK, seen the comments at around twenty minutes in - skip this. Because it's about a big-time pop star and, as always, when it comes to the supposedly-successful "music", it's always dire far beyond the call of duty.
Pah-leeze!!! I patiently watched about six minutes and found the soundtrack beginning bad and the film editing bad...I can't believe Jack Jones would fall for being in this movie. Of course, he is no known actor but really. I hit the back button. Can't help but think a cheap horror movie.
Jack Jones had a long career as a Jazz and pop singer. His father was the equally famous singer/actor, Allan Jones, of Donkey Serenade fame... At 1.30.50 Nick uses the axe which killed the old housekeeper to smash down the wall in the attack.... No sign of any blood splatter.

Thanks for putting this on. They never show this on TV. A very suspenseful opening, draws you in.👍🇬🇧
Another very enjoyable Pete Walker movie. And where would a 70’s flick be without a shit load of plants?
That might explain the apparent disappearance today of all Monstera - Swiss Cheese Plants! In the 70s they were in every office reception and every living room. Now they are nowhere to be seen. Spooky!
I've been getting into these Pete Walker films. So far every one ends the darkest way possible haha. I expect that in this one as well
❤ his films
Frightmare is absolutely sick. Lol. Can't cope with it!
The Flesh and Blood Show is a good one though.

Luckily, this was the FIRST Pete Walker film I watched. Otherwise there would have been zero mystery - not that it's a huge mystery anyway, but still.
Jack Jones was a very classy singer. Here he reminds me of Robert Redford: there is something of a resemblance.
Wow, Pamela Stephenson was truly lovely.
Very beautiful breasts, remember History of the World part 1

Great film! Mrs B is giving me Mrs Doutfire Robin Williams vibes....apologies if I spelled the movie name wrong.

Reading an Alistair MacLean paperback in bed -- in the buff. The very epitome of the 1970s.

That dialogue in the elevator 😂😂 "I bet you have large nipples" what a creep!

Yeh! The clue was in the opening credits at the start of the film that informed me that he would be appearing in the film at some point.
