    I do this every spring. Just about any product will work, in my opinion: Moovit spray lubricant, transmission oil, motor oil, any oil. Obviously a spray product is a bit faster.

    I have a can of Fluid Film’s Powerful Rust & Corrosion Protection. Could I use it instead of the Rust Stopper you use in the video?

    Unfortunately that won't help to avoid corrosion underneath where is more critical. What I do is to apply several coats of Rust Oleum primer and paint since original factory paint is very light and thin and corrosion starts underneath above the blade

    Before I even stumbled across your video I was surprised to see I own the same mowers. I have a Toro Timemaster and a Honda HRX217 with nexite deck. Both awesome mowers, Honda starts 1st pull every time after years of commercial use. Timemaster I just got but what a beautiful cut! Thanks for this great video.

    I know its mid season but, after a particularly messy mow, i cleaned the mower and i hit the deck with the silicon spray.

    Any suggestions on a lube for the cables?

    I could recommend you to ceramic coat the metal parts. Yes, the same product on car's paint. Will give it a hydrophobic properties and you could dry the mower with a blower. Sorry for my rant but I'm new in this yard/patio thing

    Didn't know this stuff existed, thanks for sharing . I got a Honda hrr still run like a champ after 7 + years. Will buy a hrn before Honda stops selling lawnmower this year.

    I'm guessing I can use the Stabil Rust Stopper on a battery powered mower, under the mowing deck and a snow blower too? Right?

      Unfortunately the plastic shields on the back of the HRX rear wheels don't seem to come off like they do on the HRN. The gears had a good amount of grease on them. Also I wasnt too thrilled about the smell of sheep on me

    When I spray the cable, i press the bar, spray in hole and release bar, i do that a couple times

    Bicycle "Frame Saver" for the inside of tubes and Nu-Finish for the exposed metal parts, lubricate the cables with a Teflon spray.

    Does amsoil make a similar rust proofing product? Have you used amsoil products?

    Oily Oily not a good idea on any model with the BBC (roto stop) . Will cause the clutch to slip.

      Also, I'm not sure if petroleum based corrosion protection is best for plastic parts. Petrol based will degrade any plastic, but if you use it on deck, that's great.

    If you don't want the underside of the deck to rust ...go get petroleum based spray can of car undercoating and spray .

      No! It's about 99.9% solvent and the oil that remains is miniscule. Just about anything else will work.

      Yes it does help but washes off easier compared to other products.

      An aluminum deck is a big plus but not many mowers have that nowadays. Older mowers that had them were great. If a mower has one today their usually pretty expensive but work well. Thanks for watching Norge!

    I spray WD40 under my mower deck every time I cut my lawn. Grass won’t stick bad especially if the grass is wet
