Justin Moses is the best "sideman"in the business and a better picker on the various "lead" instruments than the "big name" pickers...including "sweet thang"
Every one of those musicians should be household names. If we valued what they stand for, the world would be a brighter place. Humility and mutual respect making beautiful music together.
Great musicians ALL. Excellent voices too - OMG. Thanks! We live in a kind of Americana renaissance. As bad as things may be in the world we ought to be grateful for the musicians we have had in our life times that cheer us up. And of course... Justin and Sierra... could play 'happy birthday' and I'd be watching and listening with delight.
Being a banjoist myself, I have really been impressed with Justin Moses’ playing in these sessions. His ultra-tasteful backup and very clean, driving and clever solos are the perfect addition to the character of the group in which he is playing. THAT and he is married to Sierra Hull!
Amazing talent like this needs to be seen on national television 📺 put talent like this on tv then I would hook back up to cable just to watch it! Call the show “Bluegrass at its best”Thanks for sharing this!!!
Why do these jams sound so much better than anything recorded in a studio? Something about how the sounds melt together in a good way, and it just feels so much more full of heart and soul. I love it.
Que hermosa cultura 😌😌😌😌💖💖💖💖 parece como en las películas de vaqueros, woahhh that was beautiful, It's Amazing yeahhh 👍 god bless up everyone 🙏🙏 🙏🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪
AFAIK, this started out as an Osborne Brothers song, but with a different chord progression. I've heard it this way a whole bunch though - who was the first group to record this arrangement?
What is your favorite video to jam with on the channel?
Sunny side of mtn probably, but I can’t pick just one.😂😂
The late night jam session of Daybreak in Dixie. That was just awesome.
Doin' my time, because that's the most merciful paced song on your channel.
New Camptown Races!
"Old Home Place" for me, although it's difficult to choose!
Tasteful banjo work by Justin Moses, everybody was top notch.
Justin Moses is one of my favorites. He is awesome on every instrument he touches!

Justin is an absolute beast on every string instrument. Guitar, Mando, Banjo, Fiddle.. and he plays them so tastefully. A real and amazing musician
I bet if you gave Justin Moses a trombone , he could play like Glen Miller ! What a talent 🙌🏻

You sure right about all a that
I’ve watched this so many times and don’t get tired of it it. Thank you so much.
Same. Its the best version of this song I've ever heard.

Best arrangement of that song that I've ever heard. The solid, hard driving tempo completely makes that song. A-1 all arround!!
The guy in Black and White shirt .. what a tastefully technical solo ..
No doubt this session has professional written all over it. Very tight and tasteful performance.
Goldie steals the show in every video it’s in.
I’m telling ya Russ, y’all need to get a CD in the works! Absolutely amazing music.
This is the greatest recording of this song EVER!!! So good!
The ending sounds like The Seldom Seen, I love it!
Rick Faris, that climb at the end is amazing. I bet it's cool to have that kind of talented friends! Great video Russ.
WOW this is just a beautiful version. quality, talent, recording whole nine yards,,, wow.
Just that kind of music very good ❤❤❤
How is Justin Moses so good at everything.
I swear every instrument he touches turns into gold
Best music ever
Maybe the best bluegrass jam I've ever heard. Just makes me smile.
Even though a house 'jam", this is still the best rendition of Lonesome Feeling I refer anyone to, to learn the input of the instruments.
@ Agreed. I haven’t found any studio recordings of this song that even come close to how good this is.

Loving that what players love that second guitar break too
That bass player is exceptional. Just the right weight and sustain to the notes and perfect timing and support for the band.
Couldn’t agree more. After watching this, I’ve started to re-think my whole approach as a bass player.

Wow that's what I call tight playing!
1- Bluegrass breakdown
2-old home place
3-Lonesome feeling...
So hard to choose...

Clinch mountain backstep with Russ Carson playing banjo 🙂
This is my favorite video out of all.

The purest form of music I've ever heard. Chills, lump in throat, and a feeling like nothing else. Thanks.✌️🇺🇲

Justin’s banjo playing is priceless
