Wow, seriously, why aren't they next door? I'd be going for food for them. The bass player is something, Dan M. Bluegrass music is in good hands. Thanks for sharing the vid.
The bassist, Dan Eubanks is a first class bass player who is dead-on the beat and with just the right amount of “pull”. Some are pretty good, some are very good and some are just rock solid good and Eubanks is that.
This unbelievable. Someone suggested I learnings tune.never will do it justice the bass player is unreal closed to super natural. Somuch talent in the room. Thanks for sharing your talents. Gord in Canada
You guys and gals will never let Blue Grass fade-away, It’s a natural sounding rendition to all the pieces you play and I’ll enjoy every one of them, I never knew that 81 Crowe existed until I found U tube, you have my vote.
Reminds me of my Teens with my buddies....man did we love to play...this makes me cry.... I was a singer and I couldin't play due to my CP but man just sitting with them as we played and sang...
Hello ! I am a the biggest Bluegrass Music lover of all time in France! Lol. I subscribe right now to your channel for ever more goose bumps and joy...and to continue my learnings with my guitar...!! Thanks to ya'll Bluegrass Music is the best therapy to neurasthesy that i know and should be declared for social utility !! :-D Blessings from France
This guy must come from another planet. Whatever string instrument he picks up he owns it . Justin, is proficient on Guitar, Banjo, Bass, Mandolin, Dobro and Fiddle IMO, he is on his way to becoming perhaps the most versatile bluegrass musician of all time. An amazing talent.
Being in the hotel room reminded me of a statewide get together here in Bakersfield, Ca, at the Red Lion for a three day grass fest. Those guys gathered in numerous rooms, corners, alcoves . . . . all playing different songs. People would go from group to group and listen, or sit in. Awesome! Now that is music!!! Thanks for sharing.
I'm back for probably the 25th time since he posted this thing. I've finally got to where I can put this on and keep up with my own guitar. I love to pick this tune!
Frank Wakefield. What a great tune, a standard BG tune, played out of Bb, unless you play guitar and have a Shub capo, then you can play in G. Sierra knows B flat very well on mandolin. Good stuff.
I watch this at least 3-5 times a week and just makes me smile and tap along whenever I hear it. Awesome recording if only I could play it elsewhere other than TH-cam I’d be happier..🪕
great music!!! everyone very talented, but i really love the fiddle. i am 68 years old and grew up playing guitar for my dad and two great uncles. they were very good fiddle players.keep posting the great videos!!! bluegrass does the heart good!!!!
Awesome jam! i wish i could join it. Looking forward to the times after COVID-19 when people can get together and play music again! Greetings from Sweden!
This is one of the best channels I follow... I always get excited for notifications. Thanks for all the great content and thanks for taking us all along for the ride 👍
Ive played BG guitar and standup bass for 44 years (and am playing later today) but I'll never touch the skill of the bass player in this video. Every bass run is precice and clean. Without rythymn how good a performance is it? Remember the oldie player Tom Gray, Ed Farris etal?
Excellent video work in a confined space, of course having a highly skilled musician on the camera makes it what it is. Thanks for Posting !! Smokin' !!!
This tune is in tge key B flat, capo 3, play G. The mandolin is the only instrument not capoed, which means Sierra has to do the heavy lifting of playing it straight from Bb. But she knows that key very well. A ton of bluegrass tunes are played straight out of Bb. She's got it covered.
So Justin Moses is a freak on the banjo as well... He uses some serious progressive techniques here. if he had more recorded output he'd be better known as one of the great banjo players
Amazing mandolin solo by Sierra. Holy smokes! She was in a groove the whole recording!
my gramps wrote this song. this does it justice. i love this
I've seen him perform it..one of my favorites to play...kudos...thanks to gramps....
Good on ya Mate and your Granpa!
I meet and played with grandpa in 1978 Oakland Ca. As he would often say “ please to meet me”.
New Campton Races was published in 1850. Then in 1852 a different version came along with guitar in the song.
@@carlchiveral2307 r u thinking of Camptown Races?
I just LOVE these hotel room Jams!😊
Why are guys never playing in the hotel room next to me? There’s always some screaming kid. Great jam.
Wow, seriously, why aren't they next door? I'd be going for food for them.
The bass player is something, Dan M.
Bluegrass music is in good hands.
Thanks for sharing the vid.
Stay out of those cheap hotels.
Even after several years I still enjoy listening to these very talented folks. Thanks for the memories.
Why do I love Bluegrass music? This is why. Fantastic!
True raw talent
,what lee said!
😝👍🤠
This is my favorite bluegrass video on TH-cam
If you love bluegrass, there's nothing to worry about. Just keep pushing.
Impossible to wrap my head around how good these players are. It’s easier to just say it’s magic in their fingers 😂
The bassist, Dan Eubanks is a first class bass player who is dead-on the beat and with just the right amount of “pull”. Some are pretty good, some are very good and some are just rock solid good and Eubanks is that.
100% - Like a metronome.
That guy is terrific. Love his break! And watching his expressions in response to some of the other musicians' licks is a bonus.
That fiddle player! Nice!
Best hotel room sound quality I've ever heard. Sounds like the studio.
bcp5296d You’re spot on! Ricky Skaggs sound engineer Grant Hartford was recording this jam through AKG C414 mics and pro tools!
If Bill Monroe ever heard Sierra Hull play he'd do a double-take. She is so inventive.
Mr Eubanks you are amazing

Bluegrass. Best uplifting music around. I’ve been pickin it for40 years
Best banjo break there is on that tune.
I keep coming back to watch this one. Its such a great tune and masterfully played by a room full of talented musicians. Awsome!
4 years later and I'm still coming back.
Her playing gives me the chills!
Reminds me of my Teens with my buddies....man did we love to play...this makes me cry.... I was a singer and I couldin't play due to my CP but man just sitting with them as we played and sang...
the fiddle player smokin!

Showing love to the bass picker.. Awesome
Jams are the best!
The bass player is right on!! Not often heard in jams.
Sierra is so dang cute! I love her. She is one of the folks that inspired me to pick up a mandolin.
Sierra hull
I watch this once a week for a couple years now.
Clearly, the best version of this out there.
This is the definitive recording of this. And as a bonus: overseeing the festivities is Lex Luthor.
Is that Justin Moses on Banjo? He continously amazes me at the level of skill he has on every instrument!
He plays all the strings.
@@dlagrua ,Proficient?.... damned with faint praise surely?
Yeah he is one amazing picker.
I WISH I could find players that can be that respectful of a quieter solo. great stuff
I know! Whenever I play banjo at jams, the folks (especially the guitar players) I play with always thank me for playing more softly behind them.
@@elibryrob Yep, I play guitar lead, and I love it when people actually notice you playing and ease back with the louder stuff.
Very creative solo by the first mando at 0:48. Outstanding.
One of the best in the world would prolly explain it
@@krogge10
The second mandolin player, Nick Dumas, ain't no slouch, either.
@ I agree
Dan Eubanks, smashing it. Great job all around on this! Great share.🤘🏼
That bass 👌👌👌👌
There is so much talent in that room it’s a wonder it don’t explode!😂 absolutely love it!! Great job guys.
You guys are special don't let it get away!

who would thumb this down. What is wrong with people. This 81 crowe channel is great.
Great version and really good tempo. Often this tune is played too fast. This is the perfect groove tempo. Wonderful job!
My new favorite tune, what an amazing bunch of musicians.
I could listen to this over and over, I love it

Im amazed at the talent of all of
Them, amazing
Justin Moses is just to talented. It’s not fair to us normal folk. He is a master at every instrument he touches it seems. It’s amazing.
And it all seems so effortless for him.
I'd still say it's allot more practice than anything
I think him and Ron Stewart are The best musical savants in the industry!! They're just insane musicians!
Joshua Tate , more than practice.
Some of the best picking I’ve ever heard, love it!
This is one of the best channels I follow... I always get excited for notifications. Thanks for all the great content and thanks for taking us all along for the ride 👍
Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!
That might be the most creative and tasteful banjo solo I've ever heard on this tune! Thanks for sharing.
That's a lot of awesome talent packed into one room.
Really nice
What a great jam. Glad I got to hear it because it’s freaking awesome
nice bass solo Dan!
