Winner of Fat Bear Week 2023 128 Grazer! That’s my girl. She’s always been my girl and has always been my favorite Katmai bear. She is Gods bear. She is our bear.
As many fights as Grazer has been in over the years, I have only seen her get injured once, which is very recent. She currently has a chunk of skin missing from her rear left leg right now. Now that she doesn't have the 3 girls, she's been very docile. I have seen 747 chasing her up until recently. Yesterday, he wasn't bothering with her. I wonder if that means he nailed her? Seeing 2 or 3 mini 747s would be really cool.
She had a very large laceration across her face years ago. It is unknown how that injury happened as it happened off camera but it could have been another bear's claws from the look of it. She was lucky she did not lose her eye from that one. Her face now bears the scar. I have wondered if whatever that encounter was that caused that injury, now results in her Grazering behaviors that we see as shown in this video.

My favorite footage is her getting her rear end handed to her by another mother bear, she tried to bully.

Bears don’t bully , humans do . She is all about survival and dominance like all the bears
