Very nice video. I want to install a spin on oil filter adapter, but it looks like this air intake won't allow room for the spin on oil filter adapter. Thanks.
Hmmm, it should to be honest. They all have their respective places to be installed. I’m installing a oil catch can soon and it works perfectly with this set up.
You might feel the additional power from the intake more than you feel any power made from the TB. You really need to port, the intake, manifold, and head to make real gains from the TB
For anyone who sees this. AFE MOMENTUM intake does NOT fit well with the 80mm throttle body due to the big enclosed box. It took me 2 hours alone to get it to fit. If you need any tips, comment below though.
@@iunior7 oh god, it’s horrible lol. My recommendation would be to get a sawzaw and cut 2-3 inches off the intake on the left side. What year do you have though? This is for the one where the throttle body is in the front, not the back. If you don’t wanna cut it, then you won’t be able to change oil filter without removing the intake every time.
Yeah mine is in the front, like the durango of this video. I was thinking to get adapter for the en of the intake, but i gotta see of i can find it. Thanks for your reply
How does the filter hold up to rain or even the car wash? Does it get wet? Since the oem has a box around it to keep from that happening. Thanks for the vids. I just got a '23 GT premium Blacktop. Excited to get some of this going.
@@Thatguy1306nyou get the cleaning kit. You don't change them unless it gets really bad. But it's all about maintenance. The kit comes with a spray and instructions. Just takes time to dry it out. Trust the process.

Nope! No check engine light and yes I can feel a difference. It may not be by a large margin but she definitely has more of a “get up and go” you can feel when you on it. I also have gained around 2 more miles per gallon which I was surprised since I haven’t changed the way I drive and I have a pretty heavy foot lol.

@@genedaox I guess I can understand why the V6 gets some of the hate. From what I have heard it isn't as reliable, but all engines these days all have some kind of issue. you could damn near throw any intake or throttle body on a 3.6 or dodge vehicle because they don't use traditional mass airflow sensors which makes them very accepting of just about any intake mod you can bolt on before a custom tune is required but the stock tune can only add a very small amount of fuel and timing on its pre set factory tables
@@genedaox Nice!! and Thank you! think my 2018 GT is going to get some love, assuming these MODS show cased in this vid and a new exhaust set-up don't screw on my PA emissions...
I need your help/advice. I installed the 80mm throttle body on my Pentastar Durango. 2020. Did the throttle reset. Immediate rough idle and wouldn’t let me push the gas pedal. Flashed “service electronic throttle control” on the dash. Check engine light. Immediately put the old one back on and it was fine.
Hmmm, was there a harness to install with the throttle body you purchased? Also, try pushing the gas pedal in to the floor (with the car off) Slowly, three times before starting it back up after installation.
@@NCMEDIC216 That’s weird. Have you contacted them to try and switch out the harness? I haven’t experienced a code and neither has anyone I’ve come across with this set up. If you installed everything else correctly, that would be my guess.
According to the manufacturer, (INTAKE) Dyno Proven gains of up to 17 hp and 17 lb-ft. of torque. I have not taken mine to the dyno so I can not confirm but I can confirm there is a difference over stock even if its minimal!
I'm pretty sure that once you do all these add-ons, you have to get your Durango tuned for any HP or Torc to increase. If you're just adding 1 of these then it probably isn't worth it to get it tuned but if you're adding multiple bolt-ons then I recommend you get it tuned to get the full benefits of the mods.
Does it make a weird sound when idle? I had one on a 2014dpdge durango and in idle it used to make an annoying sound. With the 2021 gt plusblacktop v6 im tempted to place one. But if it makes that whooping sound i mau not get it. 😊
Changing the throttle body doesn't do much at all maybe a 1 to 2 hph gain. your really wasting money installing that on the hemi. Dodge has these cars pushed to the limit coming off stock. Unless you add a supercharger or a cam. you wont see much. Unless you have a Hellcat version you can get up to 1000 plus horse power out of those engines. JFYI..
The crazy part is, you saying it won’t make a difference to feel in driving experience but everything I’ve done has noticeably changed the driving experience for the better.
