- We reunite a lost couple. Anju needs help finding Kafei before the moon crashes down and destroys everything. So, we set out on the longest quest within the game and help them find each other while keeping their promises. This side quest gets us the several mask, including; Mask of Kafei, Keaton Mask, Postman's Hat and the Couple's Mask!

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is the sixth game in the Zelda series and was released on the Nintendo 64 in 2000. Unique among the Zelda series, the game included a 3-day time system (72 hours in total). Majora's Mask is one of the few Zelda games that Ganon (or Ganondorf) does not play any role whatsoever. Princess Zelda is only seen once in a flashback scene.
Majora's Mask is the sequel to the popular first 3D Zelda game, Ocarina of Time, and uses the same engine, as well as many art resources. Many of the conventions pioneered in Ocarina of Time are present in Majora's Mask, including characters, enemies, and items. - เกม
One of the best quests in gaming history! Did a 100% play through on my 3DS all through this past week. Such a great game. I've missed it so. The updated graphics are beautiful!
I like how the Goron has the exact same name as you, so you're technically naming 2 people at the start of the game and not just Link.

I think it's the player who just says it's them. I never got the key to the room or saw the curiosity shop scene. See this is what I want to see from side quests in Zelda. Breath of The Wild and Tears of The Kingdom come nowhere close to this.

Madam Aroma part doesnt have to be repeated if you have to restart.
You can get either couple's mask and/or send mail to mama in one 3 day cycle.
If you dont send the pendant or talk to the curiosity owner before attempting to rescue the sun mask, your already screwed as you wont get any final products.
Giving the pendant is required to get the Couple's mask.
Talking to curiosity shop owner gives you a mask and a letter to mama which gives you either a mask or a bottle(NOTE: you cant get BOTH mask and bottle on same 3 day cycle!!). Once you used up letter to mama, its gone.

I have a theory that the Goron that is named link in Majoras mask is the small goron grown up from ocarina of time

Zelda Master, you should beat all of the bosses on the same cycle before you take on majora...just for theatrics.
I do that everytime before i face majora. It only makes sense. I wish it was like that in the game. You have to defeat all 4 bosses again in the same 3 day cycle before facing majora
I’m not hearing about majoras mask lately. It’s unfortunate for how good it is. It has some of the greatest side quests

It's probably the most interesting side-quest in any Zelda game, I REALLY love it
Epic side quest! Although the Couple Mask may not seem like much of an award, all it gets you is a heart piece, buts it serves as a trophy reminding you of the great quest you completed. The main reward is reuniting the two lovers.
This side quest was the only to make me shed a tear at all in thise entire depressing game and that's what made this quest my personal favorite

Anyone ever complete the quest, but forget to deliver the item to Anju that tells her to wait for him? It destroyed me when I was a kid...
If you complete Kafei's quest, but forget to have Anju wait, you will see Kafei arrive at the inn, and walk into the room he thinks she's waiting for him in. But instead, no one is there. You'll get a small scene where he takes a few steps into the room, look around, then say "...she didn't wait..."
My gut felt like it got ripped in two, and all I could say/think was "I HAVE TO FIX THIS! I HAVE TO FIX THIS!!!!"
Still my favorite game of all time, to be able to do that to me... Can't wait for the 3ds remake!

If you roll right into the right side of the door, it might work.

that time on my first game I already finish this game but I finish my brother 3d game for him but he thank me but 6 years ago I forgot the Anju and kafei quest on the 64 version good thing you made this man

what I like once getting the reservation Key is to wait in the Knife Chamber Room to meet Anju in the kitchen delivering the letter Help Romani wait back in the room to
2nd day meet Kafei ride back to clock town with Cremia
deliver the pendant to Anju listen to her with moms talking then order the chateau from the milk bar lol
This explains why I was never able to complete this quest, I always saved the old lady 😂

I fucked up and lost the sun mask. Then I restarted, forgot to wait for the postman to talk to Anju in the hotel, talked to her, skipped the text really fast and she never showed up to meet me in the kitchen because she never told me to. Then I restarted and didn't listen to Gorman's conversation with the receptionist. I just talked to the receptionist and went in to see the Madame and she wouldn't talk to me. I don't know if I actually need to do that step over again but fuck this.
It's extremely difficult to do all the steps correctly when you are pissed off at having to repeat it and you just want to rush. I'm also not just sitting in front of the screen doing nothing but watch time pass but I have to keep an eye on it so I don't miss something. So annoying. Maybe I'll try again another day, but messing up right at the start is a sign I need to quit for now.
When it comes to the time travel in this game, I always understood this to be Link returning to the first day, like the prompt says, not rewinding time back to the first day. In other words, Link himself returns, and only with limited items, and takes the place of himself back at the first day. The rest of the world continues to exist, but only Link is able to save himself from destruction in an attempt to finally stop Majora.
Each time he fails to complete the game, the world is destroyed, even though he's not there to see it. When I finally completed this quest for the first time, I stayed with them all the way until about 15 seconds left on the timer before going back. Just to see....
If there is one thing I would've loved to see, it would have been such a cool idea to code that room specifically where if Link goes back in time in front of them, that an additional cut-scene would take place that shows events from Anju and Kafei's perspective. They had told him to go and take refuge, and so when they watch him play the song of time, he disappears in front of them, maybe some portal or something. The scene continues and they hold each other close and the moon collides...
Then it restarts from the first day again.

Random question: how many dogs you have and what breed of dog is it (or what type of dog you wish you could have) I have 3 one is an akita mix the other one is a...pitbull mix? i dont know for sure about these two but the last one for sure is a husky wolf hybrid

Awesome side quest, but you missed quite a few steps… After getting the Pendant, you can continue talking with Kafei to learn more.

On the 3d version the convater belt beat me before I stepped on the switch and had to restart the side quest
skull kid does lots of bad things like if you don't have to song of time the moon will crush town but if you are quick you can save the day
This side quest was easier than the dampe quest.
The stream in the kitchen is probably the same water from the toilet upstairs.

When you think about it- Why did Sakon keep the mask when he could've sold it? Am i the only one who is wondering that? I mean, I love this sidequest but still?
He probably took longer to find a way to pawn that mask off. It's unique, and considering the guy he sells his stolen goods to is a close childhood friend of Kafei, odds are he would immediately recognize his friend's mask if the thief Sakon tried to sell it there.
He probably had to hold on to it longer since his go-to guy was a no-go for selling that mask.

Alright, I'm having a problem with this quest. It might be an easy fix, I dunno. I got as far as witnessing Sakon selling the stolen bombs to the curiosity shop owner, and then, for a reason I can't remember now as this was a few days ago, I played the Song of Time. Now whenever I try to go to Dawn of the Third Day to get the Keaton Mask, the door is always locked. Am I just screwed or
If u played the song of time and went back to the first day u just have to do it over again....ur never just screwed in this game lol that's the unique beauty of it u can just do it over again
Just make sure u don't interrupt the bomb bag theft cuz u gotta do it over
On the final day go back to the pool the door will be unlocked at 1pm in the afternoon

This was a pretty interesting side quest the only thing i really didn't like about it was theirs just a lot of standing around and waiting which is pretty boring

Don't get me wrong, this quest is amazing for all of the reasons everyone else has already stated hundreds of times over, but the amount of just afking you have to do on the n64 version... pain.

Go into Wii mode and get it through the Wii Shop Channel. Nintendo hasn't released any N64 games on the Wii U virtual console yet.
the wifi for older gens may be down but you can stil acess the wii shop on the wii u by going to the wii menu and from there you can buy older games from wii shop like majoras mask
