- Cover #140. OH YES!! Time to introduce you all to my new studio and setup! Insanely stoked. Found this Drumless version of Foo Fighters Everlong which I think will be a fantastic way to showcase the sound and mix! Super stoked about this place and this drum cover. What a blast playing it, and playing in the finished studio! Dave Grohl got a bit of extra attention considering the previous Nirvana cover, and now this!
Per usual, you guys were super fast at guessing what song it was with the #GuessThatGroove video, hehe. Nice work! Good stuff. This song has some really challenging areas to it, to keep the energy and 16ths going constantly for a long time can be incredibly tiering and tricky. The fast continuous 8th notes on the kick in some of the fills are also a massive challenge (I messed this one up in this one-take, see transcription for correct version!), as well as the three's in the intro/pre-verse. And then just laying it down overall! Such a fun tune, though. Love it.

I’ve always loved their use of the kick drum in this song it’s nothing new or technical, but it’s so tasteful even though it’s predictable. I mean the entire drum track is amazing and it’s really just playing off the guitars and that’s something you can never go wrong with it works.
