Machines, that have a single printhead, can print CMYK with the upper half of nozzles and white with lower half of nozzles. Dual printheads, meaning one for CMYK and one for white, are probably in a staggered configuration so all of the nozzles can be used for printing.

Im looking to buy a laser for work to make custom gifts for clients but also want to do it on the side.
The f1 ultra with all the accessories is where im leaning but I could get a thunderbolt or boss entry level co2 for the same price.
I need help I’m crippled in indecision

if you need to do stuff with metal go f1 ultra, if not go with a CO2, Thunder Bolt or OneLaser XRF are my top picks.

@ cool thanks! Yeah the small form factor of f1 is nice, but it’s expensive for what it is. I may get a nicer co2 and cheaper fiber option

I don't think this will be as popular as the lasers. I have a dtf printer and oven which I got for less than $2000 Including shipping. Yes I have to put powder on manually and put in oven but mine film is on a roll so I can do a gang type sheet.

So you obviously have what they call an entry-level printer that requires a ton of Maintenance to keep it going xtool is not classifying this as an entry-level printer it's more of an advanced almost industrial printer the fact that can print a 14 * 18 inch print in less than 2 minutes is pretty impressive with the added Shaker oven combo making it completely hands-free and automated is unheard of for the price point the fact that is a very small unit not taking up a whole room like something equivalent to it. So yes you can get a cheaper printer that prints really slow without the quality with a ton of maintenance with a bunch of manual work involved but I can guarantee you this machine is a lot faster a lot less work for maintenance I'm completely hands-free

I'm not trying to be rude or offensive I've been doing DTF for years I run professional grade equipment and this machine is keeping up with my printer that cost $30,000 just for the printer and yes I say it is keeping up with them meaning I currently have this printer in my possession as well as Shaker oven combo as I am a beta tester

To be honest I would be a waste of money as they do require maintenance having one just sit there would cost you more money as the printhead would clog up and the printhead it's running or a thousand bucks or more a piece

I know you don't do much with 3d printers but would you care to comment on the bambu?

I don’t know if the “shake&bake” feature is worth the time vs money it cost for the machine

F1 Ultra "High-end fiber laser"? Um, no. As for the DTF printer, I took the chance and put down my deposit. I'm taking Jason at his word when he admitted that the quality of their products and customer service have been lacking, but he will improve them both in 2025.

High end is relative, the highest end fiber machine xTool offers. But yeh compared to a 100W MOPA from Cloudray is a whole other type of machine.
