Definitely I'm going to try making a better one out of plywood but that cardboard and duct tape surprised me lol. I'm going to try a bigger RC on it too and maybe make a vid on building one if it holds up since ramps so expensive! Thank you for watching and welcome!👍

The Grom lineup is going to do so much for bringing in new people to the hobby. A solid brand-name that is inexpensive and parts that are easily available. Hopefully Arrma does a brushless boost kit.

Aliexpress sells a pair of metal outdrive cups for the differentials. They are pricey at around $20 a pair, but this solves a common part failure without having to replace the entire differential.

Horizon Hobby has the assembled metal diffs and they have metal out drive cups on, they are 40$ for 2 completely metal diffs! Those are what I have in the video. If they weren't available however the metal out drive cups would've been perfect thank you! You're awesome!👌
I recommend keeping an eye on your local good will for ramps. I’ve had a couple high quality skate ramps pop up in mine for 10-15$!

Great “No BS review”!! My first RC was the MJX HYPERGO 16H I got Christmas before last. That thing is still ripping! Now, I’m addicted to surface RC’s. Btw, I have a ton of new FPV Drone builds, RTF and parts I need to find a good home for. I’ve got all sizes from tiny Whoops every size in between up to 5”. I’ve hover tested, FPV tested, then set them on the shelf to collect dust. If you or anyone else is interested just holla, for reals. I’ve accepted that I’m too old to learn FPV. I can fly line of sight, but that sux. I got hooked into building every latest thing. I’ve got “Fat Shark Goggles” brand new “Walksnail HD” attachment still in box, plenty parts and frames to build 3-4 others. About?? 15-20 in all. Anyway, If by some crazy turn of good luck if I were to win the “Typhon Grom” I’d give it to my Dad, after I check it out first, of course…. This would be the perfect way to get back tight with him again. I’m aging, he’s aging I would Love to build some awesome new memories of ripping RC’s with my ol’ Man before it’s too late. After he gets used to it, I have a new OEM replacement ESC and brushless motor for my MJX that still hasn’t been needed I’m sure those brushless electronics will fit right in the Typhon. My MJX has been solid as a rock. I look through Ali Express often just to see what upgrades or OEM parts they might have a deal on. Since nothing is broken, I’m in no hurry so, if there is a killer deal on upgraded or OEM parts, I’ll snag some. Sofar, got the MJX upgraded w/ anodized bearing holder hubs, aluminum shock towers, a back up set of tires, a set of street tires and new all aluminum oil shocks. It’s a total beast perfect for the small area we have. I’ve honestly only broken 1 lower control arm since I’ve had it now over a year and I don’t baby it. While waiting for the order to come in I pulled out the ol’ soldering iron, used a black zip tie as a filler rod and I welded it back together. I received set of frt and rear and can You believe I Still haven’t needed to change out yet? Anyway My Brother, I’m very sorry for the novel. I’m just excited to see a young dude such as yourself that “gets it” about how to run Your channel. The whole idea of “RC NO BS” sold Me and I subscribed immediately. Most all other RC channels bore th Hell out of Me! Entirely too much talk, repeating the same BS over and over. Drives Me crazy! Does TH-cam have a rule that a show has to be a certain length? Seems lick these other dudes are just dragging BS out to make a longer but, boring and No teaching the real important little tricks to making Your model perform better and or longer. I don’t get it! I like what You are doing brother, please keep it up!👏 👏 👏 🔥 🔥 🔥

Buddy of mine just got the blue one and it was a lot of fun. I am amazed at how far RC cars have come since I was a kid in the 80's with my Tamiya Frog. They are ready to run right out of the box.

I remember getting my very first RC car and it was a Chevy Silverado pickup truck from radio shack, 1/10 scale 7.4 2 cell lipo, I've been hooked ever since!!🤣🤣😊

Thank you for watching! 😊 Yeah these little groms are a lot of fun, which hyper go do you have I have the H14BM and 14303. They are really good also but I think the quality of arrma is a little better than hyper go. These groms have a little less slop in the steering, but the hyper gos are definitely faster right out of the box. Just got the brushless conversion done on the Typhon Grom so we'll see how it does! The bandits are really good too I still don't have one though because of Traxxas prices.
@@ReactionRC oh nice, I have the H16BM. Only thing I've broken is the bumper and two parts of the front right swing set on a cold day. Eventually got the parts in and replaced them.
Maybe I should have gotten the brushed version to start with :p
Hey it's all about whatever you like best! If you like and enjoy upgrading I would definitely go with brushed, but the HYPER GO is a great little RC! It's tough as nails, the only thing that broke on mine was the wing and front shock. Other than that it's holding up!

I have this rc car it's very good high quality I've crashed it max speed like 5 times and still works but the worst thing is how low it is to the floor and on how the extra batteries are on back order
I have a fix for you to fix that ride height in my next video! I got a new computer and have been learning to edit better for my audience and haven't posted a new video or update on this car but working on one now! When will you have your brushless install video up?
Within a few days! I filmed most of it today but my standalone esc deck was supposed to come in the mail this weekend and didn't. I didn't really want to chop up that 2 in 1 esc just for a blank deck to install it on. Id rather keep it whole for another project. Says it should be here tomorrow and then it's right outside to test it!👍 I also checked out your channel and I like it!! I subbed up!👌

Does anyone have experience with max10 g2 140a sensored ESCs? Put one in my DBpro and it just cogs like crazy. Stock gearing. Should be stronger than stock esc. Does great when it gets moving. Dialing the esc settings didn’t do much.
Unfortunately I don't have any experience with that particular esc. Is your motor sensored also? Or are you running it uncensored?
@@ReactionRC running it unsensored but the manual says it operates fine unsesored, even saw hobbywing official on TH-cam commenting that it works fine on sensorless motors. Stock gearing, everything rolls smooth, nothing bound up, has the torque to do full wheelies at half speed but doesn’t have the torque to move itself from a stopped position? Makes zero sense
Hmmm that is weird. I don't have much experience with these ESC's but I will ask around and see what I can figure out for you!👍 It may take me a few days but I'll see what I can find out about this issue.
@@ReactionRC update: it was simply the sensorless motor… the stock motor is fine but the esc didn’t like it… even though it’s advertised as a sensored/sensorless ESC 🙄 guess I have a motor to toss in my brushed Gorgon now but still, its more or less false advertisement
