    Thanks for the video...I had the problem with the left side not pulling in the cards because the housing was separating..just hot glued it and working good as new!!

      Glad it helped. Also try running the cards face up. Ours run better that way. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    Thanks. Very practical. My wife s got a small one not working and a larger one like the three you have shown. If the big one stops, I have the glue and toothpicks but I ll prbly try first to find a piece of thin metal. Appreciate the explanation.

    Thank you Wayne for making this video! Our card shuffler stopped working and my little kids were so bummed. I’m so glad I decided to google how to fix it before purchasing another! Such a quick fix :) I used part of a Bobby pin. Works great! Thank you again, you saved the day!

    The best solution to the factory switch is to solder a wire across the switch so that the wire is hot all the time then add a rocker switch to the body of the shuffler. Works great and keeps both hands available to assist feeding cards.

    I couldn't see any reason for having those protruding tooth wheels at the back (on both sides of the tray); they serve no function, so I opened up the machine and took them both out (and I'm glad that I did). The machine now runs much smoother, cards don't get jammed, it's far less noisy, and the cards don't jump around and fly off the tray (this is all because of those stupid wheels at the back). The initial reason for taking those wheels out is because they may damage the cards in time with those teeth. And while I had the machine opened, I fixed the lever that starts the device; the contact plates were not touching when the lever was pressed down, so I put a piece of plastic underneath the bottom contact plate to raise it up a little.

    Some people complain about the noise these machines make. That's caused by the speed the machine is running at. The noise level can be reduced by simply pressing the button about halfway down and running it at a lower speed; it will still shuffle the cards.

    These shufflers are junk... bought one and right out of the box it had both problems you showed. I fixed the switch and made a adjustment to the feed but it's still not very good at feeding and the same rate. Found your video but you don't cover have to fix the feeding issue.. Any solution to the feeding problem?

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Automag, YES they are junk! The problem is that a good shuffler can cost you $800 to $1000 or more. I'm glad my video helped repair part of your shuffler. As for the problem with feeding, most of the time I don't see this problem often on the 4 deck units. I have had the problem and it was because the housing around the gears came unglued. I glued it back and fixed that problem.
      Just an FYI the 6 deck shufflers do have a better switch mechanism. The most common problem I see with them is the feed rollers wear out and won't feed. At this point, I don't have a fix for that.

    What was the fix for the cards not shuffling ? Mentioned at 1:07

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The likely cause is one of 2 things. First is, the cards are not good and flat. To fix this, turn the cards over and run them face up. Second is the rollers are slipping and this can be caused by the gears not aligned. You can try pushing them back in place and this may work. If not it could be a broken housing that holds the gears. You could try gluing it back but the easy fix is to purchase a new shuffler. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    Hi Wayne. I have the other issue that you described, it is feeding fast from the right, but very slowly from the left. ...any ideas on how I could go about fixing that? Thanks for the video

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It could be a problem with the gears. Sometimes they will get misaligned or the housing will spread a little so they don't line up well. Good luck and thank you for visiting.

    I have the exact same one, what about cards shuffling onto the table in reverse instead of shuffling into the case????

    Mines brand new but doesn't work, would that still be the same problem. It's wirring but doesn't move the cards

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it is running but not feeding the cards, that is a different problem. It could be the cards. We have had better luck with new cards. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    Should you ever lubricate the gears? If so, with what?

    Can you put things like Pokémon and yugioh in there to shuffle?

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe those types of cards are thicker than regular playing cards, so I'm not sure it would be able to shuffle them. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    What about the one that only pulls from one side?

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is usually caused by a problem with the gears not meshing or out of alignment. Thank you for visiting and nave a great day.

    Hi Dwayne, have you worked on the ARRCO battery operated card shuffler? I got one on ebay but it does not work well.
    Thanks

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No but if it's old, the problem is likely the rubber rollers that feed the cards are dried out and hard. Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

    I am having an issue where the motors spin the wrong way and spit cards off the sides of the shuffler into the middle. How do I fix that?

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This will happen if the batteries are in wrong. If the positive and negative are reversed the motors will run backwards. I hope this helps correct your problem. Good luck with your project and have a great day.

    I have one and when i press the button ,only the left one moves the cards ,i dissasemble IT ,the both dc motors are working but only the mecanism from the left is spinning,the other one not.

    • @mihaidinu2232
      @mihaidinu2232 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes,fixed ,i put them together ,works. But sometimes when i shuffle the cards ,on that side it jumps down from the gearbox , how shoud i apply superglue ,before and after the little gearbox from the motor ?? I m afraid If after appying glue IT would stop spinning .

    one wheel is running slow how i fix it?

    • @DIYwithWayne
      @DIYwithWayne  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most likely is a problem with the gears. Sometimes one will slip to the side and not mesh well. If this is the problem, you should be able to slide it back. Good luck with your project and have a great day.

      Buy a mouse from the pet shop and put him inside the machine to spin the gears up!
