- Claims of climate action can seem like greenwashing, spin to persuade the public that a company or government’s actions are environmentally friendly. Oil companies can spend more on PR about false solutions than investing in clean energy. Developed country governments have promised, but failed to deliver, climate finance of $100 billion per year to help the global south. Meanwhile, the central banks of the wealthiest countries have spent $25 trillion of quantitative easing on themselves in the past 13 years. How can we overcome these challenges in Malaysia?
