Agree about the “do not disturb” sign not being very modern. LOVE all the divided drawers, mirrors, lighting, bathroom (especially the shower) & safe drawer. Makeup table across from the bathroom door not very well planned, though. Lighting/AC controls look great, but wardrobe looks a little small. Do like the lights around the shelving & pillow menu! Nice to have all those switches/sockets. I’d rather have my TV across from the bed too. Like the size of the table, especially that a larger top is hidden away. An iPad with the ship info & movies that you could use in bed-pretty modern, & I do like that! Glasses cloth and treats are a nice idea. Nice balcony, but yes-need some comfortable cushions on the chairs-I wouldn’t have been able to figure out the reclining mechanism either! And you would think there would be a bigger table…

I love the lighting in this stateroom. I want to implement them in my own home to some capacity. The size of the balcony really is luxury at sea. I’m pretty tall. And I think I’d be able to lay width-wise with room to spare upon that deck!

I do have a question if you are able to answer - did you find that there was noise from the next cabin with the connecting door? We are looking at a cruise on Silver Ray & the suite we would like is an adjoining one but we have had major issues with these types of room in the past. I was just wondering if SS have managed to address this and install decent soundproofing......thank you

Thanks for pointing this out. We were going to point out the lack of tea/coffee facilities but forgot to say as we were doing our walk around. Silversea would say you can just call your butler and ask them to bring you one whenever you wanted one but I did miss being able to just get up and make my own coffee in the morning. But in answer to your question, no there isn’t a kettle or a coffee machine in this category of suite as standard. Thanks for watching.
We were surprised but we don’t really turn the tv on much so not an issue for us. You could use the iPad type device to watch a movie on. And in all honesty you could still see the tv from the bed just not a great angle. Otherwise though it was a lovely suite 👍 Thanks for watching ☺️
We travel on a 17 day cruise September 2023 Lisbon to Lisbon on the Nova and there are some very unusual features on this Silversea ship.I’ve been cruising since the 50s and have the following comments.There are many dinning options but the menu choice is similar in each restaurant and is not varied much .Silver-note is the usual Silversea tapas more like canopies than a meal .I found the food not up to the usual Silversea standard I’ve experienced for many years with them . Since the takeover by Royal Caribbean this is my first experience and noticed a big difference in the dining experience and general standard of service. The ship is a big departure from their other ships in the fleet but personally found it a bit large for the amount of passengers and a lot of empty spaces with repeated uninspiring decor throughout .Somehow I found it too much of a departure from the previous privately owned Italian company and certainly could feel and notice the influence of RCCI in the Silver Nova.Personally disappointing.
@@visitwithus The grossness comes from 3 smoking areas on ship and it spills over. I do wish they would create an exclusively smoking cruise line, Tropic of Cancer, have it tour all the tobacco and pot plantations-get them off my ship. So it is with renting-no-smoking-impossible. Don't pit us against each other!

I think the low tech is perfect. One less electronic thing to have fix/repair/replace.

I have a Superior Verandah on deck 9 starboard on the new Ray. Hoping it doesn't suck as I prefer port.

Don’t think so, though we never really turn the tv on so don’t explore it that much. There was a good selection of movies though 👍

As a solo cruiser, I wouldn’t like not being able to watch tv from the bed. Otherwise, it looks awesome!

Yes, the standard pillows that are supplied are down pillows. They were very comfortable ☺️

I'd say Silversea looks as oppulent as Regent but less cluttered. Less is more when it gives you room and flow.
