With the parts from 3:16-3:27 you can hear a faint guitar part in the background, do you know if that's a third guitar or just the one in facgce?

It sounds different to me in the mix and I don't think I can hear it being played in the live videos, so I believe it's dubbed in separately to the main guitar parts. I've not messed with it much so no idea which tuning it's in really.

@ thanks for the response, also props for being able to figure out the guitar parts. Would love to see more pennines tabs n covers from you in the future! :)

That's me 👋It's in FACGCE but was mixed very low as it was a bit out of tune on the recording. Can confirm that playing through this song is a complete hand-breaker

THE BARRE CHORD AT THE END omg you can see I had to chuck a capo on to do it in one take ahahaha. Cheers for clarifying though, I'll have to figure it out when I have a chance and add it to my tab doc :)

I've been in band all my life (French horn and mellophone ) and i also marched and did the concert band /symphonic band in college. I want to learn how to play the guitar so I can play stuff like this. How do you recommend I learn?

There's so many approaches and it's very personal to how you like to learn, I would say just do whatever will get you to pick it up every day :).
For what it's worth though I'm mostly self-taught (since Jan 2022). I used JustinGuitar's free course at the start but other than that I've just been following my interests and messing around with stuff. That led me to learn techniques common in music of this genre earlier than I think is normal, e.g. slides and hammer-ons and even just playing riffs rather than chords. Rhythm and basic stuff I already knew from my electronic music/DJing so I had a headstart there, and helpful for this style I love polymeters so I'm used to how they feel. But I'm by no means amazing as you can tell by the number of cuts in this video! I'm sure a more disciplined schedule would make a much more refined guitarist in the same amount of time, but I just follow what I find enjoyable.
As you'll know from any other instrument there's never a point where you "master" it, there's always something new to learn and practice. Best thing you can do right now is pick up a guitar and play it every day :). Hope it goes well for you!
