Thank you! Finally managed to deactivate oil service in my E91. Apparently you cannot reset it after 300000km my car got quite some milage currently 485000km and still running great! 325I
I have the same problem it will reset only to 0 km I can see the oil level in the screen and it is full so that works,is the oil sensor defect and will a replacement solve the problem. it has driven 363000 km on 5 april 2023 an oil change has been done, I want to reset it but no luck. but an oil change at 337000 km the oil reset works fine and also before.

What is the best cable to read my car, cause the current cable is not reading transmission and DME modules!!!! When i plug the cable to the car, the program shows me the black bulb on the battery but not on the ignition, even if I have the ignition on. Do you have any recommendations ?

I'm not sure which rear wheel is effected, but dash lights are on and I loose power ... should I just use the washer repair on both rear sensors or are there sensors on front wheels as well, I'm trying to find the correct (K + DCAN Cable With ISTA + & INPA) to determine which wheel is the issue but I’m not getting any answers as of yet ... just wanted to get a temp repair on this issue long enough for dealer trade-in (I strongly feel they kind’a deserve it) LOL!!

I hope you can help me with my F80 problem...firstly, I Bought a salvaged m3 in the USA but someone made off the only key while the car was on the ports for customs clearing, anyway I managed to clear the car and took it home on tow truck...I ask the local key expert to program a new key bought off amazon but he managed to decode my Fem so now i have to reprogram and so I intend to buy cheap icom next and download ista...the big question is, can I encode my fem with icom and ista only or do I need additional software. I usually work on my own motor cars including Mercedes and Porsches but have not done much with bmw except 2006 Range Rover and mini... I cannot go to the dealer to order a replacement key because I need to pass inspection, registration etc then get my title to prove to the local dealer that I’am the true owner of the car..without starting I cannot get these done.. Btw I’m in the Caribbean..

In the beginner's guide to Ista on the Bimmerfest forum it says i can only use an Enet or Icom connection for F series. Please can you let me know what type of cable to buy for the simplest and easiest connection to USB on my laptop? I do not have an ethernet port but was hoping to use an ethernet USB adapter. Thanks

Was unable to get INPA to work with my 335d, the black dots recognise the battery and ignition, but I get an error when I select the engine in the list, seems to me that there are files missing from my install! I will try again today!

Thanks for this video. It helped me to find and correct a lot of settings. Unfortunately, I still cannot get my software to connect to my car. I'm trying to run ISTA+, preinstalled onto a Windows7 virtual machine (VirtualBox) running on a Windows 10 Laptop (Lenovo T440p). All settings done exactly according to your advice and checked them over and over. I'm using a K+DCAN USB Interface cable, so the one with a switch. I've tested (ohm-measured and pin-ckecked) this switch, so I know it shorts 7&8 in the most left position and is open in the other 3 positions. Neither, closed nor open, will let me connect though. When inserted into the OBD-connector a red LED lights up inside the cable, which goes off after a minute or so. I tried to update the device driver (no need; latest already installed). USB Controller has been enabled in the settings for the VM (USB-connected mouse is working on VM, so I suppose the ODB-cable would too..?). Whatever I try, I keep getting the familiar message 'The vehicle could not be identified. Please check the access to the vehicle and check whether the testing-analysis-diagnosis has been activated.' Getting kind of desperate here... What am I doing wrong??

I have the same problem with my X5 E70 4.8. doesn't matter which position on cable switch I choose or what kind of device configuration, speed, latency I got or pick fpr the USB interface, the cable still doesn't work or the ISTA cannot communicate with the car.

Mate you do not need that for processor at all I use oldest processor in the world and works perfect with all my 80 programs this kind of stuff does not need a high tech laptop I sell laptops ready made with all programs on ready to go

do you have an american link for the cable? I recently brought my 2004 e46 clubsport with an ssg, to a bmw indie shop with 30 years of experience (I usually do all my own work) to have him do the bleeding process for the ssg system, but he couldn't get ista w/ icom to communicate with the car, I have a hunch of why (but you have any ideas what it could be let me know, he was using a legit full access version) but I am trying to see if I can do this myself because currently my car mechanically is absolutely perfect and I just moved away from my family and I am on my own. I just want to make sure I have the right software to do this, also I need it to work with windows 10.

I always used inpa and DIS with silver K-DCAN cable until I got ISTA-D a few days ago. I had no communication between the car and ista so found this video. I checked the settings and all was correct and checked the cable was still working with Inpa. (Had to change back to COM PORT9). My problem now is when I changed back to COM PORT1 and load ISTA, I get an error message saying not enough working memory and the program shuts down. My laptop has more than enough so it doesn’t make sense

Hi Great videos. I have a e91 2011 320d I have set interface to edibias.ini but still get a net 0015 error from the cable to laptop. I've not set any com 1 as stated , link?? Edibias interface is set to std:obd and not remote? Rheingold folder is set to std:obd also. Windows updated and anti virus and firewall turned off...Can you help please.

Until 2007 BMW used K Line and from 2007 it used DCAN Line. You need to specify this, the E90 is from 2005 but also from 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, in 2005 you use K Line and in 2010 you use DCAN Line because from 2007 it switched to DCAN Line

Hi BMW Doc, I can run INPA fine on my E86 Z4 (07). I have ISTA Reihngold and have changed Ediabas.ini to Interface = STD:ODB I have selected Ebiabas in the config menu but I always get this error: Reconnecting to the same vehicle wasn't possible. The newly identified vehcile is a different one. Please reconnect the same vehicle. IFH-0027: IFH NOT FOUND For some reason ISTA just can't seem to find the cable but INPA can. Any ideas? Cheers!

Mate you do not need that for processor at all I use oldest processor in the world and works perfect with all my 80 programs this kind of stuff does not need a high tech laptop

I have a bmw m3 e92 that I've scanned with a launch x-431, the car communicated with the scanner but all of the faults kept coming up not equipped i don't know what may be the problem if you have any information please share. Thank you

Where do you download ISTA from? Is is safe or could you get viruses from downloading it? I don’t know if I should use my main laptop to code a new battery. I don’t wanna ruin my nice laptop
do you have an american link for the cable? I recently brought my 2004 e46 clubsport with an ssg, to a bmw indie shop with 30 years of experience (I usually do all my own work) to have him do the bleeding process for the ssg system, but he couldn't get ista w/ icom to communicate with the car, I have a hunch of why (but you have any ideas what it could be let me know, he was using a legit full access version) but I am trying to see if I can do this myself because currently my car mechanically is absolutely perfect and I just moved away from my family and I am on my own. I just want to make sure I have the right software to do this, also I need it to work with windows 10.

I have this cable and don’t know which line should I use. I have E61 Europe 2008/03
I always used inpa and DIS with silver K-DCAN cable until I got ISTA-D a few days ago. I had no communication between the car and ista so found this video. I checked the settings and all was correct and checked the cable was still working with Inpa. (Had to change back to COM PORT9). My problem now is when I changed back to COM PORT1 and load ISTA, I get an error message saying not enough working memory and the program shuts down. My laptop has more than enough so it doesn’t make sense

Hi Great videos. I have a e91 2011 320d I have set interface to edibias.ini but still get a net 0015 error from the cable to laptop. I've not set any com 1 as stated , link?? Edibias interface is set to std:obd and not remote? Rheingold folder is set to std:obd also. Windows updated and anti virus and firewall turned off...Can you help please.

Until 2007 BMW used K Line and from 2007 it used DCAN Line. You need to specify this, the E90 is from 2005 but also from 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, in 2005 you use K Line and in 2010 you use DCAN Line because from 2007 it switched to DCAN Line

Hi BMW Doc, I can run INPA fine on my E86 Z4 (07). I have ISTA Reihngold and have changed Ediabas.ini to
Interface = STD:ODB
I have selected Ebiabas in the config menu but I always get this error:
Reconnecting to the same vehicle wasn't possible. The newly identified vehcile is a different one.
Please reconnect the same vehicle.
