Thats nice great story we all gonna get there in the first level we are still newbie but when time comes that you practice a lot you will get better just like all the best pro mlb player now days they all suffer on the first time and " REMEMBER FAIL DOESN'T MEAN YOUR FAILURE and nothing good on you INFACT FAIL MEANS First.attempt.In.Learning" so dont give up and have faith
I think my son benefited the most from the rocker drill. It has made a big difference in getting him to recognize his linear drive and where his weight should be on release. Thanks! Great videos John, love the channel.
My son and I really enjoy your drills and find them helpful! That throw from sitting on the bucket needed some editing playa because it went sideways on you! Ha! All junk to the side...we really appreciate your videos. Thank you!
Congrats! You are the winner for this video! Im not even here for baseball...im here so that I can actually hit the thing im aiming for. Like My target is a glass bottle and somehow I hit the branch of a nearby tree...its as if I have the real life version of FPS aims.
My friend’s cousin just got drafted by the red sox. He is a left handed pitcher throwing 92+ miles an hour. He is a great inspiration to me and has pushed me to be here, working on improving my pitching
Stability helps keep everything in the same position every time. Watch how a pro pitches and then try to repeat the motions they made... now you need to be able to do that motion over and over without any major changes to where your front foot lands... the position of all your body parts... all of it needs to be very close to the same.
Did you ever have problems with the mount? Well.....yesterday I pitched on a mount which basically was only sand......everytime I threw my front foot drilled itself into it and I kinda fall and couldnt really control the pitches.....I couldnt get the sand any harder and it was the same on the whole mount. Any ideas against that cause we're going to play there again soon. Thanks
I don't like the divots in the mound. I like a flat surface because I get a better balance. I don't know how guys dig there foot under the rubber and "push off". I hate the holes so much that I bacillus pitch on the corner of the mound.
Shouldn't the 5th drill be done with opposite sided arm and leg? For instance if your right leg is the standing leg, then it's your right arm following through while your left leg comes off the ground, just like a pitching motion? I noticed in the demo it was all done on the same side. Just wondering.
Watch all of his videos. Lift weights and by weights I mean legs too. Probably more legs than arm workouts because that's where your energy should come from. Do drills and practice. Your first pitch after a fastball I would suggest developing would be a change up. Watch his videos and practice.
I have a kid who throws great bullpen but in game, can't buy a strike. All over the place. Backstop. Bounce it. Bullpen, strikes all day. Total mental case
I have the exact opposite problem, and my coach says to pretend to wait until I feel like the ball is in the catcher's mitt because I'm always visualising early, so maybe you could do the opposite
My kid and I watch your vids together. Thanks for what you do.
thanks for the support Bigike!
MrBigike76 I
Just hit 90 mph in my freshman year of college, but struggling a tad with control. Going to try these out and see how it goes.
Sweet let me know how it goes!
how’d it go?
This guy might show up in the big leagues keep an eye out
Curious how this guy is doing today. You around bud?
How’d it go
I was the worst pitcher on the team and after watching your videos I'm the 2nd best in the league!

Thanks John. I had a not so great pitching performance today and this really helped me get back on track.
I think my son benefited the most from the rocker drill. It has made a big difference in getting him to recognize his linear drive and where his weight should be on release. Thanks! Great videos John, love the channel.

Great instruction. I find that the rocker drill works very well for my son.
Im not even here for baseball...im here so that I can actually hit the thing im aiming for. Like My target is a glass bottle and somehow I hit the branch of a nearby tree...its as if I have the real life version of FPS aims.

Question: what drills can you do to work your wrist? Sometimes, some kids don't snap their wrist so the ball or the pitch is not accurate.
Search TH-cam for “yougopro wrist” and a video I made will pop up
YouGoPro Thanks boss
My friend’s cousin just got drafted by the red sox. He is a left handed pitcher throwing 92+ miles an hour. He is a great inspiration to me and has pushed me to be here, working on improving my pitching
Thanks man!
Quick question, how do the last drills on stability help out with your pitching? Not being rude just being curious
Stability helps keep everything in the same position every time. Watch how a pro pitches and then try to repeat the motions they made... now you need to be able to do that motion over and over without any major changes to where your front foot lands... the position of all your body parts... all of it needs to be very close to the same.
+Jason Mattishh Thanks. I've been trying these and they have really helped!
can you make a video of a good pitching mechanics?
I subscribed to your TH-cam channel
Nice video
I will use these drills
I'll subscribed your page because i know you gonna show us how you pitch
Thx bro
You’re welcome
Been eating good in this video...lol
That’s when I realized you don’t automatically stay in shape when you get done playing 🤣
What kind of editing software do you use? How did you make your intro?
How many times do you recommend doing these drills
John. how many reps and sets do you recommend for these 5 drills. its for my 11 yr old son
Thanks
+Arnold Palmer oops
+El Passo I pitched today and I had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM. It is so hard to adjust sometimes
I don't like the divots in the mound. I like a flat surface because I get a better balance. I don't know how guys dig there foot under the rubber and "push off". I hate the holes so much that I bacillus pitch on the corner of the mound.
Thanks
I practice planks all the time. It doesn't seem to help my accuracy a whole lot.
What about the other 4?
Hey you did good
I'm a catcher how do i get a faster pop time
Work on quicker feet, quicker hands, and a shorter arm path.
Shouldn't the 5th drill be done with opposite sided arm and leg? For instance if your right leg is the standing leg, then it's your right arm following through while your left leg comes off the ground, just like a pitching motion? I noticed in the demo it was all done on the same side. Just wondering.
I think I've played at the field ur at I think ur at green castle I think
no, not green castle
Does swimming help your pitching velocity?
awesome
I'm a 5'9 left handed freshman. And I'm learning how to become a pitcher. My Fastball Is mid 60's and my control is meh. Tips? Would really help a lot
Watch all of his videos. Lift weights and by weights I mean legs too. Probably more legs than arm workouts because that's where your energy should come from. Do drills and practice. Your first pitch after a fastball I would suggest developing would be a change up. Watch his videos and practice.
+caleb greenwood thanks buddy!
What do you think is more important, control? Or velocity?
Control
Good positioned balls are better then fucking lasers down the middle
+Black Star look at chapman
+ThatGuy26 _ well then....
haha

What pitches should a 13 year old be throwing? Right now im just throwing change ups and fastballs should I be throwing any other pitches?

I have a kid who throws great bullpen but in game, can't buy a strike. All over the place. Backstop. Bounce it. Bullpen, strikes all day. Total mental case
Ol boy was out of breath after this 😆 i feel that
I can now throw stair thanks
I have the body control problem
Why am I hitting everything to opposite field I have tried starting earlier and it doesn't work I still hit down the first base line
I have the exact opposite problem, and my coach says to pretend to wait until I feel like the ball is in the catcher's mitt because I'm always visualising early, so maybe you could do the opposite
Dylan Armstrong you're swinging too late
Am I the only Filipino that interested in pitching? Here in Philippines have no baseball court so sad that why I wish to go in a baseball field
I just hit 95mph in my second year of college but bits of srtuggles with control
