I tested a Breakout. I didn't like the rider position. So I bought a Fatboy 2024. Much more of what I wanted. Love it. Traded in my 2022 SGS. Nice smooth ride. For me the 240 rear tire is not a problem.
The Breakout is my dreamed Harley Davidson bike. For sure I will take one before the end of the year. It may be in Baja orange or Atlas silver metallic. Thanks for this very nice video, it helps a lot!
For me, the Breakout would be perfect if they offered a blacked out version. I had a Harley with lots of chrome. I spent more time cleaning the damned thing than I did riding it. Hours after you think you have thoroughly dried the bike, water will come out of every crevice while you are riding and become baked on water spots. The Breakout and the Fat Boy are my favorite Harley-Davidson models, but that chrome is a no go for me.
Great review!!! Nice channel! New sub here! I have the 2016 Break out and I will say it’s still a head turner!! Horrrible at turning compared to my street glide but you won’t find another bar hopper like it!! Ty
@@theinfinitryda okay thank you ! I was thinking about getting the street bob as my first bike and upgrading to the breakout does that sound like a good plan?
I ride a 19 Fatboy - it does want to stand up in mid-curve. What I have learned is to press down /or weight the inside handle bar grip and it stays down through the entire curve.
Makes me really miss my Corey Ness JackPot. I ran a 300 rear tire, so that 40 ls a bit anemic. Traded my Jackpot in 2015 for a Streetglide Special, put 18000 miles on it, and just traded that for a new 23 RG3, which I already have 6000 miles on. God I love this trike. Oh been ridin for 57years so far.
Boosters are out for this bike lately. Breakout has always been a great looking bike. Reminds me of my FXSTC with the rake. Not sure I like the low-profile rear tire, but definitely like the drag bike width of it. I can ride my FXSTC for 10 hours straight it's so comfortable. I bet you could do the same with the Breakout. If I were to buy a new Harley, the Breakout would be it.
I really like the style of the bike but I can’t get over the amount of chrome! What really annoys me is the lowrider had a black trim option and it’s the same 117. If they offered a black trim over the chrome I’d get one
@@theinfinitryda I'll have to test ride it again. To be specific it's the vibrations throw the bars when not moving. I was told it was because of how the engine is mounted on the Softail line vs touring line
Would this bike be a decent start for a new rider? People keep saying for me to get a used sportster. For several months or longer to practice on. But that's more money out of my budget when I buy what I really want, which is the breakout.
I always say get what you want because you’ll ride it more. But to be honest the break is raked out a little more than some other bike. You just have to confident in your comfort and the skills will come.
My only concern is my height. I'm 5'6", & I'm wondering if I could touch the peddles. I know the female in the video, being 5'3" might have an issue. I'm guessing.
I love the look of this bike. That gauge cluster, screen or whatever you want to call it is horrendous though. When they started putting those little tiny things on the bikes I was like nooooooooo!!!!! lol. But the breakout and the fat boy are such good looking bikes.

@theinfinitryda So I rode a test ride on a 2024. I loved the ride it gave, but I would need the bars back further, footboards, get rid of the monster air intake. Just the handle bars is $1000. So they said I should go to a Fat Boy. Yes but I like the loo
So I tested a 2024. Loved the ride of a softail. But the bars need to come back further for me. $1000. I would like footboards, and get rid of the monster air intake. All at a cost. Yes I could go to a Fat Boy but that is not a breakout. With either bike I would add a Windshield, leather bags, engine guard, and different pipes.
I just bought a new 2024 Blue Burst BO on 3/21/24. I added Kuryakyn mirror extensions that move the mirrors out 3” in each direction so I can see behind me. I also changed the turn signals to Customer Dynamics LED. I’m having heated grips added on Friday. I think I’ll update the exhaust to big radius next year. It’s kind of nice being able to hear my AirPods with the stock pipes. FJB 🖕🇨🇳

Nice job on slow control turns. I practice in an open parking lot on making tight u-turns or 360’s. Still have work to do
Thanks. The more you do it the more natural it will be

WIDE GLIDE DESERVES YOUR RESPECT!
The breakout would make a nice 2nd bike.
👍🏼
Im not a big Harley fan, but this bike has my attention. Can't wait to test ride this thing. I really want one lol
Swing by and ride one
You won't regret it.. I had a Road Glide and went to this and can't stop smiling.

Use a leaf blower with a lot of air flow. I have a chrome bagger. No water left on it at all.
Seriously. How the heck did they not come out with a blacked out version is beyond me. I guess that color or style isn’t popular anymore. 🙄
I have a blacked out version… you just have to pay a little extra to get it blacked out. In the alpine green - looks mint
Excellent review - Thank you 🙏
Appreciate it.

Nice. Appreciate the sub. Ride safe.
What is the bike color here please? Is that 2024 Alpine Green? Looks way better on your video then on HD stock photos. 👍
That’s Alpine Green
I went from a Street Glide to a Breakout and the one thing I had to adjust to was turning😂 I was caught off guard when I made a tight right hand turn😬
Oh yeah. It’s that rake
The greatest motorcycle Harley Davidson ever built.
Everyone keeps saying that.
8 out of 10 , for me - i like a round speedo and headlamp ;; that bike looks well smart in that colour ;;
Nice. Have you ridden one yet?
Will it be comfortable enough for someone who is 6’3 ?
Yes. I’m 6’ and 3 more inches in height should be fine.
@@theinfinitryda okay thank you ! I was thinking about getting the street bob as my first bike and upgrading to the breakout does that sound like a good plan?
@@theinfinitryda amazing video btw
I just bought a black one. Definitely gonna upgrade the exhaust to vance and hines big shot.
Nice. Vance & Hines sounds great.
i have never liked the breakout style bars, but i remain convinced that the breakout with tall bars would be so sick
Nooo

A lot of people have fell in love with the RG3.
I seen a blacked out version of the breakout it could be done
7. I’m 6’2 so it will be ok for me especially not a fast excessively peg scraping rider
Should be fine. I’m 6 feet

The issue with this bike is the vibrations at idle. Wildly uncomfortable. Once it's moving, fine bike. Closest feel to a vrod
It actually doesn’t vibrate much.

Buy older model for half, then trade up, ride different models at dealer
240 rear with a rake is not a dirt bike...
Why stock exhaust so quiet :/
To meet epa requirements
I own a wide glide and love the forward control set up. I would give this bike a 10. Large fuel tank plus no wind shield. Sign me up.

True
Scale 1 to 10 for ownership? I'd go with 💯 (100), love the bike so much.
Nice
That lady who sat on the bike, is she tall enough to have the forward controls work for her? Is she able to control the bike ok at 5,3?
She would have better control with mids.
@theinfinitryda in your opinion what would the min height be to comfortably be in control of the breakout

Pretty much but it’s still rideable

I’ll try to make it happen
In india it's cost is 45000 dollars

I don't want ABS or Traction control, Harley can keep it
I can feel that. It’s nice in some situations though, but none of my bikes have it.
You can turn off the traction control. FJB 🖕🇨🇳
I think it’s over priced honestly. You can get way more bike for that price. Should be a $15k bike at most
Harley is a premium brand with premium pricing like Mercedes or Ducati
Pretty Pretty !!!!!!! But the turn signals front and back, ATROCIOUS !!!!!
Change them up
harley dealers lies too much
Talking with your hands while riding and rolling through stop signs and red lights very low unsafe skills
