    ORANGE heatproof GLOVES: amzn.to/3tKiNqC
    Jar lid opener: amzn.to/3LprES9
    INGREDIENTS PER PINT:
    1T loosely chopped cilantro
    1t diced jalapeno
    5-6 peppercorns
    Radishes slice to 1/8 thickness
    BRINE PER PINT:
    1/3 cup water

Well, just look at how sweet you are friend! We have a metric junk ton of radishes to process this weekend. I’m hoping to have a video up maybe Sunday, and a couple of new ideas for radishes. We like these sweet and spicy, pickled radishes, but we mostly just use them as salad toppings. if I was going to have them more as a snack food, I probably would cube them into half inch or three-quarter inch cubes. Definitely lots of canning going on in the last couple videos or so. But the most fun happens in the playlist.” this week on the Homestead.” Happy to have you along friend. Have a blessed weekend.😊

Just an FYI, it's the fat in the goat's milk that helped Mr. Reeve's eye. I know from personal experience (twice). The first time I accidentally rubbed peppermint oil in my eye and the second I rubbed my eye 5 hours, and several hand washings later, after cutting some jalapeno's up. both times i drizzled olive oil in my eye. Any fat will work.

What a neat idea, I never would have thought of pickled radishes. I like the way you can, haha. I'm the same way. I did the same with jalapeno peppers. I was slicing them to make pickled peppers and without even thinking of it I rubbed both my eyes. Let's just say it was a delayed reaction, about a minute. Then the flaming eyes of fire started haha. I will have to thing of the milk next time. 😭👍

I got lots of radish tops and no radishes. Next year I will
Add more potassium and phosphorus to the garden.
I made cowboy candy and got the juice in my eyes also. Milk does help! Milk will also help if you get sand or something like that in the eyes. I have a old glass eye cup that came from my great grandmother.

@@Mindy56743 that’s really cool. It’s like Homestead medicine. Thanks for sharing. I did look up why people put milk in their eyes and apparently there’s lots of homestead medicine reasons to do that there’s an enzyme that fights eye infections. Some people use it to soothe your tear ducts. And the pH is very very close you’re right on that. I learned something new today. Thanks Miss Mindy!

Hey Miss Mary! you’re probably could use those leaves for cabbage rolls they have a different type texture almost like a zucchini leaf has tiny spines on it but we eat them in salads. You have to probably roll up your cabbage stuffing a couple times they’re definitely thinner than cabbage leaves but I bet it would work. Nice zero waste idea lady
