Its moments like what happened with your grandad which should make you feel very happy and proud of being with a girl like Lydia, massive hugs to you all
I am not normally a commenter, but I really felt the need to just say the love you have for your Grandad is awesome, they way you look after him is great, both you and Lydia.... Legend!
Hi Tom, As a male nurse i'm really proud of the way you handled the situation with Gordon. Treat him with a lot of love, make him feel confortable and he will recovery soon!
I know you’re going through a shit time at the moment and you’re putting on a brave face for all of us, it’s not easy having a loved one struggling and it’s not easy for the family, just know that we’re all here to help in any way man ❤️
Always been a quite subscriber, I have grown up around my grandma who has the same difficulties! You're grandad will adapt to it, it takes time but they feel so much more comfortable when the family accept their situation and obviously use are all very understanding and supportive. Get well soon Gordon
Been watching for probably 6 years, never really comment but seeing your grandad like this brings a tear to my I hope he gets used it because he’s a legend.
I love the guy but this really put him out, he just doesnt seem like himself anymore, im hoping for a full recovery physically and mentally. He's probably depressed or feels lonely. But these messages are probably putting him up
This video makes me sad. It's cool how many cards your grandad got. My grandad got taken into hospital a day after yours with the same thing,a blocked bowel. We found out Thursday last week that he'd got cancer. We thought he'd got a few months, he died Monday. Go see your grandparents. My nan died this time last year too. They'll appreciate the visit so much. You never know how long anyone has left. It's brilliant to see Tom with his grandad, glad he's out for Christmas
Krussell86 my condolences, my prayers are with you and your family. I know how it feels my grandfather passed last year before Thanksgiving from cancer as well.
My grandad was given a bag about 2 years ago because he had bowel cancer. He said that it took a while to get used to, but once he got used to it he felt so much better. I believe in you Gordon, you have the best support to help you learn ❤️
The time you spend with your grandad is precious and the love that you have for each other is unbreakable. So very pleased to see Gordan on the mend....as for you and Lydia takung out for dinner 10 out of 10!!
Hey, I know this is shitty to hear, but I see something in Gordon that I saw in my own granddad and please get him to do the Alzheimer and dementia test. When you do it in time you can slow the disease down and get more years trough that. This will probably get lost in the comments, but Tom if you see this please, please do as I suggest, it's important.
Hey Tom, I too have an Ileostomy Bag after having my large intestine removed last year, I too have had issues with the bag, but it has become part and parcel of my life at the age of 18. I respect your grandad so much, after going through such pain as I did with Ulcerative Colitis for 5 years. Love the vlogs and would love to give advice if needed :)
Lost my grandad to kidney and heart failure yesterday, my grandad had the same opp as your grandad 3years ago, I wish him the best Tom, spend as much time with love ones while theres still around❤️
Tom and Lydia you two are absolute angels and your grandad has a better life for you two being there for him 💖 I hope you two understand the level of respect and love you’ve provided him! Love you both so much and more love to the absolute legend grandad!
I feel really sad for your grandad, just thinking that he could've prevented that if he'd just gone to the hospital sooner makes me sad. He's the best. I hope he stays healthy. And Lydia omg, she is an amazing person for being there. Take care of her dude. Much love to all.❤️
I've just got back from seeing my Grandads grave as it is his 4 year anniversary of him passing. And I randomly thought (I've got 2 years of vlogs to catch up on!) This was the second one I saw in my binge session (after the NY ice skating and fish file) and I have to say, this brought a smile and a tear to my face. So much love to you and your family Tom!
I used to work in a care home, I know exactly the smell you are talking about it's like concentrated sick, it doesn't really smell like poo. The leaking is very random and a pain to deal with. Good job for helping your grandad.
After living having lived my whole life so far having to cope with people not understanding my mum's condition and treating my mum poorly due to her having a stoma, I would to say thank you to Tom as he has dealt with his grandad so well and been so understanding towards his situation this has made me respect Tom so much more as a person due to how quickly he was able to not judge his grandad and just to be there for him in a situation which may be a bit embarrassing for his grandad.
Please keep the natural way of vlogging its so much better in my opinion also its so nice seeing you and Lydia (sorry if I spelt it wrong) with each other more naturally
you are a good Lad to your grandad, bless him. nice to see him up and about. good luck with your Christmas shopping I went out today it was a nightmare.
Massive respect to your grandad. Im a staff nurse and used to work with patients with stoma bags. The smell gets better as the stoma settles, also the more fatty foods you eat the worse it smells. It gets way better with time. Another thing is massive respect to you and lydia for being able to help change his bag. Alot of people wouldnt be able too. Glad you are back vlogging :) :)
It’s a life changing experience what your grandad is going through. It’s mad change! My dad never went to public events for the pure reason of embarrassment. Thinking of him my friend! 💙
Tom you’re a good grandson, it’s great you have Lydia there to be by your side. Gordon’s a soldier. I can completely relate to your situation because my grandad had bowel cancer. It’s tough but it’ll only make you two closer ❤️
As a CNA, I have to say, being a caregiver is rough on the family. Stay strong and don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. The worst thing you can do is let yourself get burned out, I've seen it absolutely destroy families. Your grandad is gonna be okay, he's getting excellent care and will be home before you know it.
1. Tom seems so happy and fulfilled in his life right now 2. Love ya Orion, good job 3. I actually like the long "waffling" times, it makes it seem really normal and more like tom is sitting here with us
You can never beet a grandad and grandson bond , they teach us how to be gentlemen , the UK going mad where would we be without NHS . My grandad had dementia so when I took him out shit happened he changed me I changed him an he broke my heart saying I remember changing you . He was a unit and even though he's gone he is still my unit he kicked ass in a war came home and looked after all his family, every one of us who's dad frigged off he was the there for all his grand kids as a dad and a grandad . Can't beat a grandad !
Hey Tom, what you're Grandfather has just been through is a colonoscopy? And a youtuber named Hannah Witton just went through the same thing at the start of the year and she has posted some really interesting and informational videos on the topic. Maybe give them a watch and tell your grandfather about how to try and get his bag to stop leaking and such!
This video hit me in the feels hard....... I wish i could of had more time with my grandad....... The day fathers day will never be the same again as that's the day he passed 2018....... Cherish the time tom please........
Tom, I love your grandad he seems like a true gent. My papa had a stoma bag so I know exactly what your talking about. If he hasn’t been advised already have a look online for foods that aren’t good for stoma bags, fizzy drinks and stuff that’s hard on the digestion, this really helped with less ‘accidents’ when we were out. All the best and merry Christmas to everyone ✌🏼❤️
Tom thank you for the videos you make. I lost my grandfather last March ad I’m so happy that Gordon’s doing well. My grandpa was one of my best friends thank you so much. Much love. Thank you. It brings me joy that he’s doing well thank you
Hi tom two tips which help me is to shave around the wound to help the bag stick better and use calamine lotion which you use for chickenpox to stop it the itching , hope it’s helps
Tom u are an amazing grandson to gordon. Keep it up bro well done I work in the care industry and in the beginning i was feeling sick with stuff like that, but as i see it and deal with stuff like that on a daily basis im use to it now. Your grandad will get use to it and will be a pro at keeping it clean and changing it, so glad he has you in his life to keep his mood up. As situation like this make them feel so embarrassed and taking their independent from them as they have to depend on others to help them. Stay strong gordon and tom keep it up bro.
I love you Tom!! I've lost my grandfather last year April... Just make sure you spend alot of time with him please.. Gordon looks like my granddad did before he passed .. Just make sure to spend time with him .. Love
Bro props to you for being so real. No judgement here. My sister has had Crohn’s disease since age 15 and now has a bag of her own. Know how that stuff goes. Keep chuggin man

Tom, my grandad had the same thing I had to go through the same as you, my grandad didn’t want to learn about the stomer reversal, but as soon as he did he understood. Keep his spirits high, he’ll be fine. Love you, and the rest of your family ❤️
Yea I had that trouble with my bag you can ask fittle worth or a stoma nurse you can get bigger sticky bits around the stoma I'm 29 and iv learned it takes time bro and also tell him to try not to eat much at night then he can have a good nights rest without worrying 👊🏻
My dad gave me some advice when it comes to girls, he said, " marry a girl that will take care of you when you are sick and at your lowest, specially family" i married a beautiful caring and honest woman. Just leaving this here for you to read tom....
I had a hard time living with a colostomy bag for 6 months but eventually you get used to it. Btw the thing that the bag attatches to and then sticks to the skin is called a baseplate and the part of the bowel that is out the skin is called a stoma. Hope this gives you a helpful insight. Hope he gets used to it eventually
Hi Tom. Hope this helps. My bag use to leak like crazy. I then switched to a brand called Coloplast. Ask the stoma nurse for Coloplast Sensura Mio. They stick well and mold to your body shape. Hope this helps. Wishing your grandad all the best.
Sibren van Es yea I know how you feel man my both my grandparents passed away on January 10 and 12 this year and it makes me miss them when I see tom with his grandpa
Your grandpa is a soldier, one that keeps on marching, one that keeps his platoon safe and sound, and gets his men home safe! That's Gordon right there!
Ive had to go through this myself. I was born basically into this process and grew up for years with this whole process but i then healed enough to get this reversed back so i am one of the lucky ones. Hopefully your grandad is one of em too.
Its moments like what happened with your grandad which should make you feel very happy and proud of being with a girl like Lydia, massive hugs to you all

Natural. This editor is amazing with your vlogs.
Tom you should look at Hannah witton’s videos as she has a bag and talks very openly about the struggles of living with it
in three days you have had your throne for a year. I remember when Lydia surprised you with it.

Your grandpa is a soldier, one that keeps on marching, one that keeps his platoon safe and sound, and gets his men home safe! That's Gordon right there!
Just carry an extra outfit with you and a stoma bag with you , you can do this Tom
I think you should sit down with grandad and record some of his stories seems like he has millions
She’s an absolute keeper
The editing is lovely, like the waffle seems much more natural.
The natural feel of the vlogs is honestly better in my opinion but as long as there's a video I'll watch it
Hope everything goes well with your grandad. Glad to see him in the vlogs again.
Sorry to hear grandad isn't well. Hope he recovers and stay strong.
Lydia is so so good with your Granda❤

Ive had to go through this myself. I was born basically into this process and grew up for years with this whole process but i then healed enough to get this reversed back so i am one of the lucky ones. Hopefully your grandad is one of em too.
