I needed this. Here I am, nearly 72 years old, and still learning. How happy am I that is so!

Sigh...I miss BYU-Hawaii. Still the best kept secret in the church and one of the most beautiful places on earth. My alma mater...Aloha!

    S. Michael Wilcox is my favorite speaker. I was fortunate to hear this talk before my mission. Then he came to speak the same on when I was in the MTC. And then the cherry on top was while I was at BYUH he came and I saw this talk in person in 2009. Truly a blessing that has helped me many times.

literally i just prayed and asked why one of my addictions is still here in my life and why so many things have gone wrong, one of the first thoughts that came to my head is god is a fourth watch god and it lead me to watch this. in my opinion this is one of the mysteries of god which no one fully understands and which i love the topic but it confuses me every time. hope my prayers will be answered.

Yes, but sometimes addictions are brought on by ourselves. Unless we are mentally challenged or cognitively disabled we can be saved after all we can do to escape the effects of the addiction

Eric Davis, listen to the Plan of Salvation by Matthew B. Brown. I have addictions as well my friend, and they have been very discouraging throughout my life, but there is purpose to everything. You are a very important person, and I think that is one reason you, and many others, struggle with an ongoing addiction. Satan continues to try and attack you and bring you down. At times we feel powerless to the temptations, and give in. Listen to talks by Elder Jeffrey Holland. His messages are of hope to people like you and I. Keep your head up and never give up. Learn about the Atonement and how it applies to you personally. Submit to his will and accept his love, and help. You are worthy of his love and hope because he suffered specifically for you. Good luck.

The talk was okay up until the point the speaker made light of the Saviour's plea to His Heavenly Father regarding the bitter cup that He had to take upon Him. I hope this speaker may have grown up a bit since this talk. I hope this speaker would think of the question the Saviour asked "What think ye of Christ?"
