    Damm, other companies would have charged money for the minimal upgrade in graphics. This is like a remake in terms of graphics

    • @Spectre92ITA
      @Spectre92ITA 2 ปีที่แล้ว +77

      In all fairness, considering the state the game launched in, if they tried asking for money for the upgrades they would've basically dug their own graves and shot themselves in the teeth while sat in it.
      That said, I'm genuinely happy the game is now in a shape where it's actually a fantastic experience, they did a fantastic job getting themselves out of said grave they'd dug for themselves.

      NMS was disappointing when it first released. The devs promised all these good things. But it wasn't there at the start. Well they have delivered on their promise. And created a game that all can enjoy.

      @@CarCoSaNoLa I think that Super Nacho wanted to say that some companies * _cough_ * *EA* * _cough_ * charge full price for minimal changes, as in all those games called "(sports association) (year)", NOT that the change from 2016 NMS to 2022 NMS would count as minimal.

      I 💯 agree with you, and I dare to say that CD Projek Red is doing their part with Cyberpunk 2077, on PS5 it’s probably one of the best graphics I’ve seen on a console, with their most recent update to ver 1.6, it’s buttery smooth. No charges from them whatsoever, of course it should have been like this at release, but fortunately for me, I don’t buy games on their release, EVER, I wait for sales and sometimes years after to play them, and to me Cyberpunk, I’m having a lot of fun playing it!

      @@offthewallsurfer1 no offense but you need to see more games. Cyberpunk on PS5 looks great but there's a pretty long list of games that look a lot better, and not all are PS5 native games either. Death Stranding and TLOU Part 2 look better and those are essentially PS4 games let alone PS5's best showcases like Horizon FW, Demon's Souls, Ratchet and Clank RA, GT7, and Metro Exodus Enhanced edition.
      It looks great and a huge improvement over the PS4 Pro version even on BC mode on PS5 but yea, even the maxxed PC version pales in comparison to games like Demon's Souls and Horizon.

    Have to say that they redeemed themselves pretty well. Unlike some that leave it and then ditch, they actally decided to keep to their word and try to make things right to make it like they wanted it too. Even if it took a few more years down the track, the updates are free and no dlc eaither I think. Hope they'll keep up the good work! When it first came out was'nt really up to stracth, but now it kinda is. Woo! I've been enjoying it so far.

If the game stayed in its 2016 state it would've faded away after the initial 1.5 million were sold in 2016. The studio is now worth easily over 100 million USD and it's entirely based on their treating the community with respect.

  • @thomasmutiu
    @thomasmutiu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I respect them for how much they worked to redeem themselves. How much they worked to bring to life what they promised ( including that multiplayer fiasco which they know fixed ) but the game is still dull. The limitations of the game itself and the exploration get very boring, very quickly. I guess it's cool to chill and as a inbetween game kind of game, but there's really not much to do. The universe has a lot more variety to offer than no man's sky does. But that's how it is with procedurally generated games, there's nothing unique or memorable about them.
    Outer Wilds did that part right, they had a VERY small solar system but each planet you went to felt like.. well, an actual planet. And even though there were no entities on other planets ( animals ) and no flying overhead ships or trade stations, it had more soul in each planet than No Man Sky does.
    I am not throwing dirt at it, don't comment with negative and hate speech because you're a fan of the game. I love the idea, I played it, I enjoyed it for a couple of hours, it's a good relaxing game, but that's really it, it's just a 5 hour once every 6 months kind of game.

    • @im_piano
      @im_piano 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree. I love this game, played it a few hundred hours, but there is always something missing. Like the game is always too easy, to forgiving, and the planets look too similar for the exploration to actually work as a motivator. So I switched to playing community expeditions a year ago. At least they give you a sense of direction and a bit of a challenge.

MNS went live, but Empyrion remained in alpha and continued development. Both games have experienced VERY DIFFERENT issues.. but both are still evolving and improving, with every new update.
