Omg this video was so cute. I totally relate to abbys feelings around the holidays and Matt is so sweet the way he really tries to lift her spirits and be positive and empathetic. I really admire your guys’ friendship and support of one another. My husband is not like that so I’d be at target and decorating the house by myself lol. It was quite funny though watching all the Christmasy stuff in such summery outfits 😂 and the tour at the end was great 😂

I totally understand the whole tradition thing. Ever since my grandmother passed away a few years ago nothing has been the same. It's so hard sometimes. I feel you on that, Abby.

I feel you about missing home during the holidays. I went to college in florida and when November hit it was still 80° outside and no fall colors. We decorated our dorms but nothing feels the same, but it did make me more grateful for time with family and that Christmas I cherished coming home so much! ❤️💚
I think your home will feel even more Christmassy if you change your turquoise curtains to forest green or just christmas theme!!

Totally understand where Abbie is coming from. I get really sad around Christmas if I'm not with them. My husband always says I should go be with them but I miss him and our dogs. It's really hard. I love traditions too ❤

I completely relate to when the Christmas season comes around it doesn't feel like Christmas. Back in 2014 my parents, siblings, and I moved to Guatemala to become missionaries at an orphanage. In case you don't know Guatemala is in Central America, close to the equator which makes it really hot here. So Christmas isn't always the same since we were used to the colder Christmases we had in Virginia where we used to live. It's definitely different and just wanted to let yall know that you aren't alone with this feeling. Merry Christmas! 😁
I’m wearing my fuzzy Christmas pants now 😂 Abby is so stylish always!!!! And I’m the same way I try every year to get my husband to let me put up our Christmas tree earlier and earlier I think. I literally feel like we’re the same person and I definitely love the grinch as well! Hands down favorite Christmas movie.

I totally understand how you feel . I have seasonal depression and my whole family lives in California and the past four years I lived in nevada and I never could be there for the holidays but I always was able to go right after . Now my fiancé and I have moved to Florida and I feel so sad not going to be with them this year because of how expensive it would be to fly both of us . So I get how you feel :/ also all my decorations for the holidays are in nevada still along with all our books and clothes and family memories . I know you guys will get through the holidays together :) love your videos and I’m sad that we are going through the same things but you aren’t alone :) praying for you both 🤍🤍🤍 happy holidays

Abby, I moved from my family to a new state and I totally empathize with you especially on the holidays. One thing I had to realize is that while tradition is great, you can always start new traditions! 😊
Thank you guys for always being so so so real, honest, and vulnerable. I totally understand missing family and wanting to be home for the Christmas season. Family is so important to me, and I will be moving away to New Mexico next year when I get married - far from my family. It will be hard, but I love seeing how Matt supports you and is empathetic with those feelings of missing home. I am sure my husband will do the same for me which makes me feel better! Also, I am typically annoyed by brand endorsements in youtube videos, but you guys do it so so well. I never skip through them and have actually used curology because of ya'll! I'm so sorry Abby about your home sickness. I went through it before too. Then, I decided since I couldn't go home I would start my own Christmas traditions, and I think it helped. I was lonely still though.🥺 On another note...I am so happy you all were able to get a little Christmas cheer in your home. You all decorated so cute! Love your Christmas decor! Abby, when I spent Christmas away from my Family it was just as hard, maybe even harder bcs they were going through one of the hardest times we ever faced as a family. But instead of thinking about all of the things I was missing out on I tried to embrace the christmas culture I got to experience, the people I got to meet, the different traditions they invited me to take part in and the special things I would have never known if I hadn't been there. Look at it as an experience you will one day be telling your kids about. Like "Look at this picture when Mom and Dad spent Christmas in a bathing suit!!" - What also helped me a lot was keeping busy, so as for your thoughts not to wander too much. Xx

Maybe an idea: I always wrap all my wall decor in christmas wrapping paper and hang it back up maybe with a bow and it makes it look like christmas presents and makes your place look a lot more festive!
