You're all wrong, he's done an interview about this kick: mentions how particularly windy it was that day, that he was trying to banana it, hence the angle of the ball on the tee, but he did shank it more than he expected.

Since there is at least one Rugby League kick included in these I have to point out a kick done by former Australian Kangaroo half Jonathan Thurston that can be viewed on YT. In calm conditions he places the ball in the corner of field near flag and puts the ball cleanly through the posts. No wind assistance just a natural curvature.

@@Diom1982 must be in the extensive rules somewhere I guess. I think they have a similar rule in football where if the ball goes over the line it's counted as a goal even if it doesn't hit the back of the net. That's my understanding at least.
